Having never stayed near or visited Kouklia can anyone advise are all Restaurants in a walkable area. Also are any taxis companies operating out ok Kouklia ?
There are 5 restaurants in Kouklia (4 are currently open) and are all very close together around the Plateia or just behind. The standards are high (my personal favourite is Gabriel's, but they are all very good), and there are also a couple of small bars. It's a lovely village, well worth a visit, especially the Sanctuary of Aphrodite and museum.
There is one taxi company that I know off that runs out of Kouklia, run by Yiannis - call 97776667 http://yiannistaxi.com/ Any Paphos taxi company would also take you there and back, although if you are staying near Kouklia (Aphrodite Hills or Secret Valley, for example) then you are probably better with Yiannis as he is based in Kouklia.
Kouklia attracts a mix of residents and tourists and retains the feeling of an authentic village. Public transport is limited so it's not overrun with day trippers.
If you liked Kathikias, I'm sure you'll be happy in Kouklia.
Another vote for Gabriel's. 👍
Agree with Trisha, it's a mixture. Can get touristy in the height of summer, especially Thursday nights when the village hosts Cyprus Night. But it's still a lovely, authentic village experience. Close enough to beaches and Paphos and some very nice walks in the surrounding countryside.
