Hi Going back to PCV at end of month and Hubby would like to know if anyone has ever or knows of any locals that he can try and arrange a fishing trip with.

There will be four men in total looking to book something for a day out. I know that you can book somthing via your rep, but they are hoping to try and do something with the local people.

Last year they spent a lot of time out fishing from a pedlo, which was fine but they were restricted on time.

Hi venes,

Firstly have a great holiday, we were there in March and have just booked

to go back again next March....the place really gets in your blood !

Right onto the fishing.......people I met had success from the beach and

also from the rocks to the right of the Blau, also round the point into

the next bay. They caught barracuda, gars and other "snapper" type fish.

The 'cuda and gars came to lures the others to float fished prawn.

I'm not too good on the old pins now and cannot stand for too long

so I booked trip with the rep for trolling. I went on the "big" boat.

Great skipper and mate ! We had a four rod hook up with Dorado

at the same time ........manic !! Best fish 20lb. We then hit 2 more

within 2 mins of each other. Enjoyed it so much I booked again

with a lad who was on the boat at the same time. The sea was a bit

too calm but still got 'cuda to 15lb. The day before they had a sailfish

of about 60lb...we saw the bill.

Cost was 70 cuc but see what they would charge for the boat for just

you four. By the way the morning trips did better than the pm ones.

Tackle and rigs were good, I'm in the tackle trade and I am going

to take out more rapalas and other trolling lures for them next year.

Only regret is that all fish were kept and I prefer catch and release but

it is a poor country and I know that they will have been put to good use.

Also went on the mangrove/horseriding trip. First time on a horse !!!!!!!!

The matchman in me came out and after slight alteration in set up...

I took my own weights and hooks......got into the rythm and got 60+

fish in the 2 hours....oh what fun lol.

Anyway hope this helps, go and enjoy and have a great time.

Cheers, Grandslam.

Would you mind answering a couple of questions below please?

Can I ask what type of method You were using, was you fishing up in the water or the bottom, would be good to know what type of float you was using and the size of hooks plus what type of bait when you went on you horse riding trip.

What type of rapalas you felt worked best when sea fishing. What company the rep worked for who he booked the trip with?
