“Excellent”
Review of Flybe

Reviewed 2 April 2018 via mobile

First time I have flown from Doncaster and first time for Flybe and was impressed with both.

Very quiet at the airport, think there were only 3 flights all day and seemed to be more staff than passengers which was a good thing!

Would definitely go from Doncaster again and with Flybe.

Good flight out .However a 4 hour delay coming home on the Friday night due to a technical fault , We eventually took off but the toilets did not flush perhaps that was our technical fault. We were given tea and coffee in the airport from the air hostesses of the plane as Glasgow airport closed

I've flown with FlyBe a couple of times on the Manchester-Amsterdam route, and generally there are ok for a budget airline.

But of course the clue is in the 'budget' aspect. They are 'no frills, get what you pay for'.

Luggage and an allocated seat can be included, but this depends on which option you 'click' when booking online.

However, unlike with the larger airlines such as KLM or Lufthansa, a snack won't be included in the price so you will need to have some loose change available if you want to eat or drink.

FlyBe do tend to operate older aircraft too unlike their competitors such as easyJet. And this could explain the reason why, even for Economy, their seats are on the narrow side... and i'm not of a big stature so someone who was could struggle with this!

As Manchester is only a short flight, on average approximately 50 minutes I tend to look out of the window or perhaps read the on-flight magazine,,, BUT, I won't be dipping my hands into the seat back pocket where they keep the Safety info and magazine in a hurry because when I pulled it out, someone had left their 'used' chewing gum... ABSOLUTELY DISGUSTING!!

So, although this isn't strictly FlyBe's fault, and I realise the cleaners have only a few minutes to wipe all the tables and clean the carpets... but, COME ON, standards obviously need to be improved!

Due to this, it's unlikely i'll be booking with FlyBe again because there appear to be passengers who just don't care or know how to behave.

As one of the first flights of the day it surprises me that can can have a 90 minute delay fron 7.15 to 8.45... and then use the same reason of .
"Issue with plane and waiting for a part", not great... then while in the queue to board they inform us there is service on board, the time you look forward to a cup of tea.... Flybe don't seem to think of the customer experience or look to compensate, i.e., if you have a delay, give us a free tea....

Had to re-book on this flight due to previous flight being cancelled due to snow at Exeter. It was ok, nothing special really, the landing was fast and a tad bumpy at Newcastle. The return flight the next day was better although for some reason was a little late. The planes they use for these type of domestic flights are small and a tad cramped but they do the job.
