I would like to share my experiences with everyone on firefly services. I’m a regular traveler who travels to JB from Subang (back and forth) with firefly, almost every week. I have experienced good services, ie good hospitality from them, polite and helpful cabin crews, departure and arrival as per scheduled time, clear and loud announcements at the terminal, announcement and reminds of the passengers name if they’re not on board with regular basis, unfortunately, it’s not happening anymore this year. Encountered bad/rude service from the on ground services crew, the flight is consistently delayed, or so called “retimed”, it can be from 10 minutes delayed till 3 hours, especially, from JB to Subang, like recently, last Friday 18/10/2024, it delayed from 2055 to 2355, and when query at the counter with the crew, was told by one of the crew it was due to lack of passengers and the other crew was not able to provide the clear answer, when check with the police officer was told it’s a common issue. When check-in and enter to the departure hall, saw the crews were hiding away the “compensation dinner” from the passengers, they will give (not willing) if you asked is that the food for us then only they will start to check your ticket to verify whether are you the valid passengers, they’ll push away the trolley without checking with any passengers & quickly hide the foods away from us. Further to note, the announcement also unclear, nowadays, no longer calling the passengers name who’ve not arrived, cabin crew in the flight is not that helpful, never rendered their helps when passengers struggling to store their smaller luggage/bag in the plane, it caused more delays when queuing on ground.
It was a very unpleasant experience with Firefly, and sad to say it is under Malaysia Airline, why can’t this be improved? Why can’t they prove to everyone especially to the foreigners that Malaysia Airline is better than any other airline or better than any other airline? Every time when I heard the complaints from the foreigners (in the airport) that Firefly is worse than any other airline, I was annoyed, but, unfortunately, I can’t debate it, it’s REALITY!
Come on, FIREFLY, please stop being so annoyed, please don’t repeat the same mistake again and again! Being as a Malaysian, I wanted this not to happen again, I wanted to be proud of you for being a good airline again, and I believe you can make it! Wishing you all the success in your future!
To my advise, do not fly with FIREFLY. I’ve been soending my whole day at airport due to flight re-time twice. DO NOT FLY WITH FIREFLY
One of the worst experiences before. Cant even checkin online arrive the airport before one hour say counter close. Ask the office people they can't even give an answer. Is better to close down this company if they can't even handle their employees.
My mom and I originally checked in with seats 3A and 3B, but during boarding, they changed our seats to 27A and 27B, citing reasons like balance or something similar. However, we saw other people still sitting in the front row. Unfair.
