“Great service ”
Review of Cape Air

Reviewed 5 July 2017 via mobile

Had the opportunity to make my second trip with Cape Air.
Can't say enough about the professional and prompt service from Linda at the corporate office.
Took great care in assisting with the special booking process.
All staff we encountered were pleasantly helpful and took personal care of our family.
Will certainly fly them again on our next trip!

Canceled 10:45am flight without rebooking for the same day on the way over. Sat at airport for 5 hours before it was cancelled due to absent crew. Did not load luggage on flight on the return, therefore luggage did not make connection. Super unorganized!

Our Family Vacation included 8 ... Grand Parents, Grown Sons, Daughter in law and three Grand Kids... This long anticipated trip began with a flight from Phoenix to San Juan and then on to Tortola. The Small Cessna 402 carries 9 passengers... we had 8 of those places. We watched previous flights depart from the Margarita Bar overlooking the tarmac ... the granddaughters (14,14 &17 yrs) were clearly worried... "such a small plane!" That quickly changed as we boarded ... they discovered "we have our own private plane!!" One Son sat in the copilot's seat... he was elated.. the rest of us had fantastic views... and the too short flight was smooth.... the landing slick! What should also be mentioned are the ground staff... check-in was a delight.... quick with a smile and easy. Reservations were made many months in advance... and attention to detail (TSA #'s, passport #'s etc.) was the key to an easy trip. Clearly our BVI Sailing Vacation started with CAPE AIR!

When we saw the Cessna 402 prop plane pull into the terminal area, we realized we were going to be in for an adventure. (I LOVE flying in small planes, so this was a real treat, and it was very reasonably priced.) The TSA security at AUG is over-the-top vigilant, and after weighing our bags and our bodies, we were distributed on the plane to get the best balance. The pilots (going and coming back from BOS) were friendly, but all business. The views of the Maine, NH, coastline were spectacular, since we didn't fly above 6000 feet. The trip was quick and excellent, though the plane returning needed a good carpet cleaning. I want to mention that the gate agents were fabulous. We arrived BOS earlier than expected and were scheduled out for a late flight 4 hrs later. I asked if there was an earlier flight available and she said, in 20 mins. They cleared our baggage from the incoming flight, and got us home at least 4 hours earlier. So grateful for their "can do" attitude, not typical in Boston...

Cape Air fills a niche here in mid-America and elsewhere, running short haul flights to small regional airports. They may not be for the faint hearted who prefer a 747. We flew a twin engine Cessna, about 8 pax, at about 6,000 feet. The views were superb! Ground crews were efficient, as was the pilot. I felt perfectly safe.
