I took this flight Singapore-KL-Sydney and my singapore-KL flight was delayed. As such I had 90 minutes layover in KL and I was concerned if i will be able to make to the connecting flight in KL.
The counter staff at Singapore was fairly non committal saying we will board you, there is no instruction not to board, if you reach on time you will be boarded to the connecting flight, else we will make arrangement for stay in KL etc; I had no choice but to check in go to the gate.
The staff at the gate was still better. They kind of confirmed that the flight from KL is also delayed due to the rain and I will have time to get to the next flight and there will be someone at the gate to take you to the next flight.
I boarded and landed in KL and really had to to rush to the connecting flight. There was someone at the gate telling us which gate to go to but there was no Buggy or any other assistance to get to the gate for the connecting flight. KL airport is large and not an easy one navigate around finally with a lot of huffing and puffing I managed to reach the gate.
They really need to improve their ground service.
I had very good experience on board ( not sure if business class made the difference). Especially Precious on my flight from KL to Sydney ensured that all of us are comfortable and taken care of.
Its a bit difficult to say that I would fly Malasia again....yes, if there is no choice I would, else I would definitely avoid.
