The worst airlines ever. They delay the flight and give a hotel voucher conveniently. Then wait for one hour to get to the hotel and surprise,surprise! It's already time to come back to airport for next flight. I travelled from Perth to KL and the flight was supposed to reach KL at 7:55 am. The next flight to blr was at 9:10 am. The flight reached kl at 8:30 am (the delay which could be covered but no effort from airlines side) and I was at the gate for next flight at 8:35 am. They could've easily let me board the flight because the boarding had just started but no they like making us suffer and the staff at the gate was rude. This airlines should be banned. I don't want a fancy hotel I just want to reach my destination on time. And this is the third time this is happening. Moreover they don't even care to send an email about the delay. I reached my destination 12 hours late.

Disgraceful customer service. they cancelled a leg of my trip, then told me they wouldn't give me a replacement flight till three days later. wouldn't put me on a different carrier, wouldn't give a partial refund of the cancelled flight. forced me to buy my own earlier replacement flight at my own cost. and because I had booked through a travel agent, they refused to do anything for me. very shady. would not recommend.

I had the most disappointing experience with Malaysian Airlines, they have the most rude and unprofessional check-in staff at Sydney Airport. After waiting over an hour in line for check-in and luggage drop, I finally reached the counter. Despite having paid extra for a flexible/premium ticket to allow a 35 kg luggage limit, the staff told me they couldn’t accept my bag as it was over 30 kg and that I would need to pack the extra 5 kg in a separate bag as a second checked item.

I explained that I didn’t have an extra bag and was never informed of this policy. It wasn’t mentioned in my ticket details either. The staff was dismissive and insisted to purchase a hand-carry bag at the airport store, where I ended up having to buy the cheapest option available—for $90. Had I known about this requirement, I wouldn’t have paid extra for the flexible ticket. This experience left me feeling frustrated and misled.

Secondly, they also had to change my return flight because the flight got cancelled. They changed my flight to Thai Airlines and sent me a new ticket. On my way back, when i tried to check in, the staff told me that the ticket was cancelled and was not updated on their system. I had to wait for an hour just so that they can update the system. This has been my worst experience and i am never flying with Malaysian airlines. I have another trip booked with them which i plan to change immediately.

It was the second last row that has 4 seats in the middle; I booked the four middle seats (38 D, E, F, G) for my family. The seats were nice and comfy. It felt a bit outdated in many ways. But at least I could straighten my legs if I recline my seats (I'm 1.75m or 5"9'). The IFE was also a bit outdated, especially with the pull-out remote that has faded buttons.

Meals were great, by the way. The appetizers, main, and dessert. Malaysian Hospitality services still stand true to its name.

Everything about Malaysia Airlines is first class. It starts with their boarding procedure, and follows up with the efficiency of the flight crew. Our flight was about 3 plus hours, and a very well prepared hot meal was served. It is a very good airline to travel with
