Flying on SQ is always a pleasure whether you are in First, Business or Economy class. This airline, although usually the most expensive option for any given route, is worth the extra cost because they pay attention to the details.
The entertainment system in economy class is better than some carrier's business class.
Equipment and staff are usually "top-notch".
Of course there are glitches here and there but this airline strives to be the best at everything that they do...they get it right 90+ % of the time.

Having found that the other seats in Premium Economy were a bit lacking in leg room, we decided to pay the small supplement to get the ones in the front row. It was definitely worth it.

Even though the main meals were not great (I can't use Book the Chef because of a nut allergy), the in-between-meals snack selection was very good: juice, savoury rolls, muffins, crisps, dried mangoes, apples.

We flew for the first time with Singapore Airlines in Business class from SIngapore to Denpasar in March.

Our flight form SIngapore to Denpasar we were already not impresed with the service, and also the very old airbus 330-300 made us wonder why they always win so many awards.

But our flight from Denpasar to Singapore was a disaster, we were seated at row 2 at the window, after we board two families with two babies took place at the whole first row. We asked right away if we could go back a few rows, and luckily it was possible, the business class was not full.

The crew was so busy with the babies that they forgot that there were other passengers, a few minutes before takeoff we received a quick welcome drink, at cruise height we immediately got the meal, no pre drink, we got the feeling that they wanted to finish as soon as possible.

After we had partially cured the very bad tasting meal, everything was taken away and the crew disappeared into the gally, we had to call every time we wanted something, they did not come by regularly.

The last hour before we would arrive, one of the babies has continuously screamed, and really loud too. The parents didn't do anything and let it go, and the crew certainly did nothing. When I asked the purser before we arrived why he didn't take any action to the parents, he told them that they are their children and therefore can not say anything, I told them he is responsible for the whole plane and therefore also the comfort of the rest of the passengers.

I have sent a complaint right after I came home to SIngapore airlines, I got an automatic reply that they would respond quickly, after 10 days I sent the mail again and we are now 10 days further, I hear nothing from them.

For us it is clear, no SIngapore Airlines anymore, given the fare we paid for the ticket, we better should have chosen an other airline, they do not deliver up to what they promise promise, so for us SIngapore Airliines proved unreliable.

Next time in July we fly with Garuda or KLM again, better vallue for money.

Just returned on a Singapore airlines flight from Manila into Singapore. The service was impeccable, good of good quality and great inflight entertainment. The seats were clean and the airplane was relatively new. My only gripe was the flight was on time despite the numerous air turbulence the plane had encountered but after we had landed, we had to wait more than 20 minutes for the plane to get to it’s designated parking slot!

A colleague said that Singapore airlines was the best - even better that Emirates. What with that recommendation and the advert I could not wait ... but what a disappointment. The staff lane interior although the new Airbus looked tired and the seats felt smaller than before. Food was served almost grudgingly an hour and a half after take off - nothing special and then that was it for 12 hours The cabin staff enjoyed Garlic mussels and we were left to fend for ourselves ie had to get up and ask for drinks and sandwiches. Everyone started to do the same as we were quite frankly hungry and thirsty! I have never flown with any airline where the passengers were neglected. Quite shocking - the airline does not live up to its reputation or advert ! Choose another carrier as this airline has forgotten the passenger
