“LAX to DEN”
Review of Southwest Airlines

Reviewed 19 September 2017

Southwest is always great to fly. Service is top notch. My flight got delayed so I was able to switch to an earlier flight so I got into Denver earlier than expected. Whenever I get the chance I will fly Southwest.

Southwest is our favorite. There policy on luggage is the best in the industry and when you consider their discount pricing no one else comes close.

To make a very long story short, I was threatened by another passenger on a flight from DEN-BWI. I notified the flight crew, who had security waiting that the arrival gate. The passenger and his travel companions flew into a rage and began calling me and the Southwest gate people racists and quite a few other unprintable words.
I was told that this man and his travel companions were terminating in BWI and asked if I would like an escort to my next gate, which was BWI-RSW. I declined the escort and made my way over to the next gate, where I fired up my laptop and caught up on some prep for a meeting I had the next morning in Ft. Myers.
Upon boarding my next flight, I found that the man whom had threatened me on the previous flight was sitting in the front row of my departing aircraft - he must have pre-boarded. As I passed him I did not make eye contact and proceeded to a seat further back in the plane. He began screaming and immediately called for a flight attendant and he claimed that I struck him as I passed (I did not) and that he was in fear for his life.
By this time I was in my seat about halfway back in the aircraft and the flight crew had halted the boarding process. The flight attendant came back to my seat, wagged her finger at me, told me that I was to stay in the aft end of the plane for the duration of the flight and I was to stay away from that man and his traveling companions.
She resumed boarding but the man was still raising a ruckus causing the pilot to come out and listen to him.
A short while later, boarding was again stopped and some Southwest ground people came on the plane and told me to gather my belongings and exit the aircraft.
In the gate area, I was told that the pilot did not want me on this flight and that I was being booked on a the next flight to RSW the following day.
Thanks, for nothing , Southwest!

I hardly ever have a bad flight other than the very often every seat booked on the plane sort of deal...It's rare now a days to have the seat next to you empty but it does still happen. I wish they would have more flights out to El Paso... and yes more non-stop flights to be exact. The crews are always very friendly and helpful. But the down fall is you're at the mercy of the airport tower and if there is construction being done at the airport you can expect your flight will be delayed...no matter who you fly but it seems they like to pick on Southwest flights the most.
