We stayed at Alexandra Resort for one week. The beachfront Resort is well kept and it is great for couples. Our room was in front at the beach and had a wonderful balcony.

* The room is cosy and comfortable.
* The bathroom is large with a bathtube.
* The kitchen is fully equipated.
* There is a nice pool and delicious restaurant.

We don't recommend this Resort with you go with children because they isn't entertainment for them.

Thank you for staying at the Alexandra Resort and sharing your positive comments regarding the resort's facilities, restaurant (Mango Reef) and guest suites. You also noted that there is no entertainment for children at the resort. That will change in December, when we introduce our new kids club. The club will be open from 9am to 1pm on weekdays. Children ages 4 to 10 are welcome to attend at a cost of $25/day (lunch at Mango Reef included). The kid's club will offer craft making, beach walks, pool time and more.

Families also love our large free form swimming pool, the clear and calm waters at the beach (which is right at our doorstep), complimentary beach toys to borrow from our beach attendant, free non motorized watersports and free DVD loans from the reception center. Caicos Dream Tours also operates their various boating excursions from Alexandra Resort - these are very popular with families vacationing in Providenciales. Kids can also arrange for private tennis lessons on our tennis courts (additional fee) and many other island activities and attractions are no more than a 15 minute drive from the resort.

Our spacious one and two bedroom suites include full kitchens, washers and dryers, and free WIFI, so families feel right at home when they stay at the resort. We look forward to welcoming you back to the Alexandra Resort on a future visit.

My husband and I visited The Alexandra from October 20-Nov.3. It was fabulous. The staff were incredible. Being greeted by Arnold as we walked in and handed a lovely rum punch was the perfect beginning to our stay. Everyone was very friendly and helpful. The Concierge Al knew what was going on and helped us secure our trips with no hassels. The room was kept gloriously clean everyday and the bar staff were all extemely pleasant, outgoing and personable. The Spa staff were very capable and their massages were so good we booked three while we were there!!!We cannot wait to go. My heartiest congratulations to all of the staff for making our trip everything we hoped it would be. See you next year!!!

It was a pleasure to host your recent visit to the Alexandra Resort. Our team works very hard to meet and exceed guest expectations. I will pass along your kind comments to them. We hope you will stay with us again in the future.

Been to the island before but this is our first time at the Alexandra for a week with grandparents and 2 very young kids. We had a great time. Staff was outstanding and very accommodation to our kids. Rooms were very nice. We had a bonus 1/2 bath. Room was also equipped with washer and dryer (came in handy with two young ones!).

Onsite restaurant Mango Reef is one of the best restaurants on the island. Can't wait to go back!

We had a great time at the Alexandra. The pros: The beach is beyond stunning, the water is perfect, the chairs and umbrellas, beach towels plentiful. The kitchenette in the studio was great, we saved money on breakfasts and leftover lunches (we brought coffee, cereal, etc from home). The housekeeping was exceptional. The bed and bedding, superb. The washer/dryer a big help--bring detergent. The room design, though condo/generic, had everything we needed. The pool is lovely. The restaurant is very good, yet, like the most of the island's tourist eateries, jaw-droppingly expensive. We ate at the Mango Reef twice: delicious food, uneven service (at those prices?). Upon arrival we had to listen to a group of loud drunks at the pool bar for hours, but happily they left and we had a quiet week. The manager's cocktail party was fun, with good drinks and snacks. You can, and we did, walk to many restaurants, and into the tourist/shopping area. I would definitely stay there again, esp if there's a discounted off-season rate. The cons: our first room had a powerfully terrible moldy odor, so we moved. The second one had a bad rotten-egg smell coming from under the kitchen sink. I couldn't bear to move again, so we lived with it. Nasty. Hard to understand how they assign any rooms like that. There wasn't a dresser in studio room: hard to put away your clothes. The bathroom should have hooks/more towel bars to hang clothes/robe; that is oddly lacking. The staff was helpful and friendly everywhere (housekeeping, security, beach), except for the people at the front desk who were helpful but not friendly. There is no ice except at the restaurant bar, which means a trip each time and a tip to the bartender. The hotel brochure says there are ice trays, but our only one was broken, and when I asked for more, the desk said she'd see if there were any. I guess the answer was no. There is no store on site to buy various items. But you can get essentials at the Regent Palm next door or Norwani's store behind the Veranda/near Smokey's.
To avoid the very expensive tourist restaurants, we ate at/walked to: Smokey's, Middle Caicos Cafe ($10 dinner on Wednesday), Cactus Grill, further to First Catch. All good. Our best lunch was at Sailing Paradise which offers a free pick-up/drop off ride. Don't miss a meal at Sailing Paradise. The food, the location, the view, and Orville the manager: fabulous!!
I would stay at The Alexandra again.

Thank you for your recent stay at the Alexandra Resort. I am pleased to read you had a great visit. I am disappointed to learn that there were odour issues in your room. I have asked maintenance to investigate this immediately. Please know that we have just introduced a bed and breakfast package, which offers our guests better value and convenience. We continue to introduce new programs and services that meet the needs of our guests, and hope you will stay with us again to enjoy these improvements.

We have traveled all over the world and stayed at unique and very expensive hotels but this hotel is Unique. Quiet is the key nothing to do I was in pool played my iPhone very low and a lady came to me
And said please lower the music. I was dumbfounded and upset. The people that work in this hotel Are nice but I find the people that stay here are very stuffy. I ussualy stay at the Ritz or Hyatt Hotels. The food is ok but get ready to wait and pay . Very expensive for everything. Example bAsic breakfeast 110.00. For 4 people. We went to store first night a case of corona beer 90.00. A six pack 18.00. Don't rent a car nothing to see, cabs all over the place but make sure you don't pay what they tell u talk them down. Very quiet and very clean island. 46 miles long by 5 miles wide. Very. Very quiet. Enjoy it

Thank you for choosing the Alexandra Resort on your recent visit to Turks & Caicos. We are pleased you enjoyed your visit and we hope you will stay with us again. You are correct that some things are expensive here. We have just launched a value-priced bed and breakfast package with Mango Reef, which provides considerable savings on breakfast costs. We are sorry to read you paid $90 for a case of Corona. Beer is usually not that expensive here and our concierge is happy to direct guests to stores that offer fair prices and excellent service for food and beverage items. He will also help plan a driving itinerary to see a number of interesting areas and attractions on Provo, which is approximately 22 miles long. The island may be small in size, but it offers a big selection of great dining, spa and water based activities for visitors to enjoy. Thanks again for your patronage and we look forward to welcoming you back soon.
