Went to Baires based upon Trip Advisor reviews and we were not disappointed. It's not an overwhelming meat menu, but thoughtfully and deliciously prepared. We began with delicious empanadas and had the house specialty, "Bife de lomo Malbec", a roasted skirt steak, on mashed sweet potatoes, with portobello, asparagus and roasted red pepper served with a Malbec reduction.

The food was outstanding and the owner and her son made you feel like part of the family the moment you arrived. The place was so good I had dinner their a second night during my short stay in Guadalajara.

We found this restaurant via our GPS--it was wonderful. The food was amazing. My husband had salmon and said it was about the best he ever had. I had a half portion of Melenese--enough for a family of 4!!! the rolls--wine selection--outstanding--the waiter was so welcoming. It is a family owned and a family member is usually there. They have a wine room. It is a great experience---and can't wait to go again.

Visited with some coworkers for dinner. We arrived around 6pm on a Thursday and were immediately seated. For the less adventurous there is an English menu, but for the most part the Spanish menu was understandable. Very large selection of wines. I just got the glass of Malbec which was quite good.. And paired with the lomo Malbec perfectly. The lomo was excellent.. It's just as good as it looks in the picture. One of my colleagues had the salmon Baires which looked quite good as well. The price couldn't be beat--I've spent more at Chipotle in the US!

We went to this much touted restaurant and the much respected chef was not in. The flounder was dry and overcooked but they gladly replaced it for moister flounder. The octopus and milanesa were winners!
