Great beets, fantastic food, friendly Family atmosphere. I thought the tradition of roast potatoes and yorkshire puddings put on the bar on a Sunday had died but not here! Love this pub and always made to feel welcome whenever I visit! Keep it up Dan and Mel! Well done!!!

Tried the new menu lots of different dishes for everyones taste. Katsu curry was lovelly and aromatic i would recommend this to any curry lover and the rice was so soft and melted in my mouth. My husband had the pulled pork hash which of course i tasted, very different but also a good tasty dish. Atmosphere great with a good old fashioned disco. Booked my table already for next week. Have to try some more of the delicious menu. Thankyou Dan and Mel

We stayed for one night in converted stable right next to car park. Room was very small and badly lit with one ceiling spot light and two dark bedside lamps. Bed was comfortable and appeared clean. Drawers were broken on the inside and there was a hole in the plasterboard behind the door. In the bathroom the sink was cracked and there was toilet paper down the toilet and the pair of pladtic cups had been open from their wrapper and only one remained. The water from the shower was very slow to drain away so the bath waste must be blocked. The sealant around bottom of the bath was brown and dirty looking. We didnt sleep well due to normal movement from the occupants above, pub customer cars, road noise and the train barrier alarm so could do with double glazed window and a better door. Sadly thr pub was also very in need of a smartening up and the food wasnt the best. The staff though seemed helpful and hardworking. Just needs care and attentiion to bring this place up to a modern standard.

Food was preordered but still came out wrong.
All food was either over cooked, dry or swimming in watery sauce, tomato ketchup was so vinegary you couldn’t eat it.
Had upset stomach that evening, may not have been cause of the food and just a coincidence.
Could understand if it was cheap but it isn’t.
Toilets have holes in the doors and smell.
Chairs are threadbare, this establishment could really do with a makeover.

However there seemed to be only 3 staff working who were reasonably friendly.
