Typical brewers fayre dint why i was dissapointed i should have expected it...I ordered half a roast chicken ...well let me tell you this chicken had never seen an oven came on the plate Lilly white looked like it had been poached or boiled in the bag ..I did complain and they changed my meal and gave us a free dessert hence the 2 stars...staff were pleasant and helpful

Not great, we ordered three meals one was good , unfortunately two went back. It was just simply burnt. That in itself not a huge problem everyone makes mistakes. However the way it was handled fell short of what I would expect. The replacement meals were only partly replaced, apparently we had eaten some of the chips and coleslaw, they could not replace the cutlery!!! The replacements were still just ok. We complained again to the manger who did provide a free round of drinks. I know it’s a chain pub, as such we expect to be fed rather than charmed, however this fell well short.

Went to this place with friends for a chilled get together. The view from our seats was lovely. Looking over the lake whilst sitting at a cosy table was very pleasant. The food was good, basic pub grub but enjoyed it. We only went for a quick bite but ended up staying all night because it was a lovely atmosphere. What made it for us was the pleasant hard working staff. We’ve been to many restaurants good and bad and what makes our experience more pleasurable is polite smiling staff. In many other places we’ve been pleasantries have been less forthcoming!!!
The young assistant manager, I think his name was Cory, was friendly and welcoming. Couldn’t do enough for us and spent time chatting to us and asking us if we were happy with everything. He seemed to have a smile for everyone.
We’d definitely return. Decent food, good prices, nice view and hardworking staff.
