Owner description: Winner of the 2014 Northern Ireland Tourist Board "Best Visitor Experience 2014" Belleek Pottery & Visitor Centre is home to one of the oldest working Potteries in the world beginning it's existence in 1857. Guided tours of the complete production facility are offered giving guests a real opportunity to see how the product has been made throughout the ages, from start to finish. Many of the unique tools and techniques are still used today being handed down from generation to generation. Guests are afforded the opportunity to also meet with the craftspeople along the way and even get the chance to try casting a new piece, dipping in transparent glaze, painting some of the beautiful hues of pastel colours or even breaking products in our QA rejects department! After the Pottery tour our guests are invited to relax in our Belleek tearoom and have a cup of coffee or lunch whilst looking out on the River Erne.

I went to this pottery over Easter. Unfortunately the visitor tours were not running because of the bank holiday/ weekend but I walked through the little museum and the gift shop. I enjoyed browsing the pieces, many of which were beautifully hand painted and a good price for fine china. I got a set of teacups and saucers which I am very happy with so far :)

Dear chongsuewei,
Thank you for visiting us over the Easter period. Unfortunately, on specific days, we cannot run tours of the production process. I am glad, however, that it did not spoil your visit to our Centre.

Called into Belleek Pottery a few days ago and it was a wonderful experience.
Not only do they have their own pottery items but also crystal and cutlery. after our time in the shop and a few bargains later we proceeded into the coffee shop and had a delicious lemon meringue to finish of a very delightful day out

My husband and I visited here while staying in Enniskillen for a few days and we thoroughly enjoyed it. Although the tours don’t start on Saturdays for a while we were able to wander through the museum. The skill of the craftsmen and women is astonishing and the pieces on display both in the museum and the shop are wonderful. The shop is very peaceful to wander around and although staff were available if needed they didn’t feel it necessary to intrude on our time looking at everything which was great. It took us a while to decide on a piece to take home as there was so many beautiful items to choose from. Loved it and will definitely come back to do a tour so we can watch them being made.

Dear Alisond977,
Thank you for your recent visit to our Visitor Centre and your positive comments. We do offer guided tours of the complete production process on Saturdays but they usually do not start until the middle of May and run to the end of September. It is good to see that you and your husband enjoyed the Visitor Centre and I welcome you back to have the Tour at a time convenient to yourself. Please ask for me at the Reception Desk and I will organise the tour tickets for you.

We went to the town of Belleek, specifically to visit this pottery. We were impressed by every aspect of our visit, but the highlight was the pottery tour - we were lucky as we were the only ones. Our guide, Michael was very considerate of an 8 year old's energy and questions.
It was also Michael who helped us with the postage of our purchases back to Australia.
We left feeling very satisfied with our time there.

Dear janselth911,
Thank you for making the visit to Belleek Pottery Visitor Centre during your recent holiday from Australia and I am so pleased to see that you had a great experience with us. For sure, the guided Tour of the complete production process is the highlight of the visit as you so aptly describe and so many of our guests would agree with you.
All of our guests who take the Tour are offered a rare opportunity to see the complete production process and meet will all of the craftspeople along the way. It really does give a broad understanding of how ceramics are made and all of the very detailed efforts that go in to making each piece.
