Before heading back to Manila, we capped our weekend getaway in Nasugbu by having lunch at Crust on 19 April 2015. It is located at the entrance of Sandari Batulao & along the main highway. Ambiance is very romantic & therapeutic - it is surrounded by lush garden foliage & a koi pond. The short flight of steps & the open wooden bridge crossing the pond led us to the small glassed restaurant.
Overall, the space planning & interiors were impressive - all wood, very basic with minimal furnishings, chic & modern. It is clean, spacious, well lighted & ventilated (including the washrooms). A Balinese setting - laid back & very casual that complemented the view of Mt. Batulao from afar. Restaurant seating is for 50 people, including outside seating.
For our meal, we got spinach artichoke dip (P195), meat lover's pizza (P425), italian sausage pizza (P425), 5-cheese pizza (P400) & home blend iced teas (P75). It was delicious & filling. Waiting time was 15 minutes. Each 9" hand tossed neopolitan style pizza was sliced to 8 pieces & was served hot from the brick oven. Limited menu - 8 kinds of pizzas, 2 kinds of pasta & soup (single serving), a starter dish & iced tea / mango juice to choose from.
Staff were very accommodating, approachable, polite, efficient & helpful. We were offered travel magazines to browse on while waiting for our food to be served. I admire the extra effort they extended to us to make our stay comfortable. We were also informed that they are open during holidays , Fridays (10am-6pm) , Saturdays & Sundays (8am-6pm) & can be reached at +63 917-5506854.
I commend this dining experience to all travelers & I'm looking forward to come back for more.
