We chose to stay at this hotel because it is short walk from the Ashikaga station. There are no rooms for 3 people so we had to book a double and a single. The rooms were clean and the single bed was very comfortable. Buffet breakfast was good. A good comfortable hotel for an overnight stay.

The hotel is a short walk from the station and also close to the interesting old part of Ashikaga with the cobbled streets, craft shops and the Bannaji Temple and Gakko, the oldest university school in Japan.
The room was a good size for Japan, clean, and the décor interesting with lots of pictures in the hotel of modern metallic fabrication in the halls and a framed silk embroidered still-life picture in our room. Bed was hard though.
Breakfast at the hotel starts at 6.45 am. which is great if you have a lot to do in the day as we did. Breakfast was really good - fish (salmon), gratin pasta, rice, miso, salad, orange juice and coffee.

The front desk staff were confused about using foreign credit cards which resulted in errors that had to be corrected.
Room was clean tho very small for the size of the king sized bed. Softer pillows would have been very welcome.

Stayed on business for two nights and found the hotel to be very clean. The room, although small by North American standards, was larger than others on this particular trip. The room was equipped with the two pair of slippers (one for in the room and one for out of the room) and instead of a Yucata, there was a pant and top for wearing outside of the room. This was a first for me and quite a nice touch.

Complimentary WiFi was appreciated as well as a wired connection in your room as an option.

The breakfast buffet was varied and plentiful. You dare not want for anything that was not provided.

The hotel was within walking distance of many nice restaurants as the breakfast room in the hotel was only open for breakfast.

The front desk staff was pleasant and helpful.
