A great stay from A-Z! Very friendly, helpful and well trained staff, extremely stylish and well furnished houses, beautiful location on the beach, very good food. There is the possibility to rent kayaks and snorkelling equipment. Furthermore, the whole hotel is trimmed to sustainability: The materials used in construction, the waste management, in the restaurant there is no fish from the national park, the rooms have neither air conditioning, nor hot water, nor a refrigerator - all of which is not necessary at all despite (or because of) the warm climate, because the houses are in the shade of the many trees and are pleasantly cooled by the wind (and the fan).

This was my fourth visit to Castaway Resort in last 5 years. Unfortunately this time it was a disappointing since the bungalows were neglected and the rooms were dirty. When I checked in, I realized it’s so dirty and cleaned the room myself. Then I showed the dirt to staff. They cared, sent the housekeeping but unfortunately there weren’t big change. In room safe, hangers, tables and shelves were incredibly dirty. There were even dried inspect corpse in on the wall in the bathroom. I regularly come to Koh Lipe. This was my fourth stay at Castaway since I liked it very much in past. Unfortunately, because of this incredible dirt I will never stay in Castaway again.

I had a very nice experience here. The restaurant has beautiful views and has great food. The crab pad Thai is the best thing I tasted during the whole trip. Ginger tea is also nice in the morning. A good option for accommodations if you're not too bothered by the lack of A/C. I would definitely come back and definitely recommend.
