My wife and I had our 4 day honeymoon in this place. No best words to describe our feelings. Employees of all rank are so courteous and friendly. Privacy is well and your safety is prioritized. Lorna is so accommodating and shares more inspiring stories about Esakaya and Bohol. Chef Rex made such delicious foods especially the Seafood Bisque. Our butler John Clark guide us thoroughly in our sunset cruise until we arrived back to the villa.

Our villa is beach front and hearing the waves just makes it lovelier and refreshing. You will never go wrong when you stayed in this place. A complete package of friendly people, delicious food, cleaned, fabulous villa and your safety and privacy well guaranteed.

My husband and I stayed in this beautiful resort for our honeymoon. We have nothing but good words for Eskaya. When we saw the place, it was breathtaking. We fell in love with every corner and every detail of the resort. Exclusive and private, to simply describe our 4-day getaway. It seemed that were are the only couple staying in this resort. The welcome Al Fresco dinner that was included in the Romance Package we availed was made very romantic at the seaside, with a serenade and superb food preparation by Chief Rexon (‘The Soup’ still lingers on our tastebuds!) We learned a lot about the province of Bohol and the people through the countryside tour, with the energetic Sir Elmer as our guide. For me, the highlight of our short vacation was the private sunset cruise. With Sir John Clark as our butler, cocktails over the sea while waiting for the majestic Panglao sunset was sweet and memorable. The 1-hour body spa with 30-minute foot spa, well, I don’t know what to say, because I drifted away 3 minutes after the start of the spa. It was that good! Hahaha! Otherwise, the interior of Handuraw was jaw-dropping. Everyone at Eskaya was amazing. Special mention to Ma’am Lorna, very courteous and accomodating. Godbless!

Stayed at one of their beautiful Grand Villas. They told us it was new & it did not disappoint. The villa was comfortable, amenities were great & exceeded our expectations. Service was great. Lorna as well as the other staff was very attentive to our needs. The resort was very relaxed and even if it was fully booked at the time of our stay, it did not feel crowded & it had a very tranquil & relaxing atmosphere.

My title says it all.

Everything in Eskaya is beautiful. Say the amenities, the nature, the villas, the food, the resort itself and all.
Yes, it's a perfect place to be relaxed and to enjoy the nature. There are also lots of instagrammable spots for IG/FB peps. Villas are also so, so beautiful, so elegant and so clean. Plus, all respect for the general manager, resident manager and all the staff who does a great job here; a truest example of excellent hospitality!

Being a non nature lover, I was quite apprehensive when my wife, who enjoys being out in nature booked our vacation with out any inputs from me. I was expecting some out in the boondocks, resort with no creature comforts for a city person like me. I was delightfully surprised when we were escorted to our villa (by Manuel, really nice guy that's always helpful and smiling). On the outside, it was wooden villa complete with thatched roof and wooden floor wrap around balcony, but on the inside, they had 2 big flat screen TV's complete with complete with cable and Internet access, instead of a small ref, they had a built in 2 door ref, a microwave and a Nespresso machine. The Grand Villa (newer ones away form the beach) was very big, As we are a family of 5, we were initially afraid that we would not fit, but they had a king bed and 2 days beds, which was perfect for us. They also have a dining area and a large bathroom with its own AC, a shower and separate Jacuzzi and of course a private pool. I would have never left the Villa but the family insisted we try the beach and resort pool.
The beach itself is nothing great, white sand (not powdery) and full of washed up sea weeds. Main Infinity pool with a view of the sea was Ok, but I think there was not enough shower or changing rooms, also the path to the beach was a bit steep and we were afraid our young daughter might trip and hurt herself when going down to the beach, the other way to the beach was quite far and under a hot sun, not so enticing.
The service was not perfect (had some mix up with the Kayak we wanted to use and the pack breakfast for our dolphin watching) but still it was very good.
During our stay, the resort was fully booked, but we only saw other guests during Meal time. the meals were quite expensive( 350 ~ 700 php per dish), decent to large servings. luckily, since the resort was full, they decided to serve buffet breakfast instead of the plated meals which was good for us as we have 2 teenage boys.
Something that disappointed me was that the housekeeping did not replace whatever items (shampoo, conditioner, toilet paper) that were used the previous day, as a great deal of time is spent swimming, we went through the provided toiletries quite fast, and expected they would be replaced the next day, unfortunately even after we had the room made up, they were not replaced and we had to call up house keeping to ask for them. Also, as the Villa has its own garden, it also had its share of insects, specially large black ants which would be all over the balcony in the early morning and late afternoon. would be nice if they did something about the ants.
Overall, the city boy in me was completely happy and wish we could have spent more time there. It is definitely a great resort, with great people and I would love to go back.

Room Tip: newer villas have more up to date design but are farther away from the beach. if you want privacy this is the best
