A very interesting and informative visit to a fascinating place. It's incredible to think how they lived back then, adapting to varying situations, making use of the limited amenities yet trading down the river to the coast. Excellent guide whose talk kept your attention the whole time....5star. Location was also a bonus on the beautiful Loch Tay.

I loved the history surrounding this place. The displays were extremely informative and relied on excellent research. The guide was very knowledgeable and was able to impart this in a manner that was easily understood by a diverse group of visitors. Would highly recommend this as a must see when visiting Scotland.

I must admit to coming here with a big doubt in my mind. I thought it would be a yawn.

How wrong.

Dirk, our German host, has been working here for 10 years and did a fantastic job of engaging with the group, telling us some fabulous stories, and kept the whole experience light, educational, and fun.

There is a simple exhibition, the Crannogh itself where you sit in and learn about the style of life and a lovely hands on area.

The experience is wonderful and a must visit if you’re in the area.
