“Escape into the rainforest but you're never far from a good barista”
Reviewed 23 May 2011

If you're looking for a holiday with a walk or two to burn off the vacation calories, Montville and the Sunshine Coast Hinterland in Queensland have some great options. At Kondalilla Falls near Montville, you can swim in the most beautiful rock pool or walk down to the base of the falls and swim there. Then on your way home, stop at Elements Teahouse for afternoon tea; the outside doesn't look much but the cafe is great and has amazing views across the valley.
Or try Mary Cairncross Park which has easy walking trails, incredible giant fig trees, the spectacular Richmond birdwing butterflies and an open air cafe with a panoramic view of the Glasshouse Mountains spread out before you. And wonderful cakes made on the premises.
