We travelled down from the NW arriving for the 1st day of the 2018 season on Saturday 17/3. This coincided wit the arrival of bitterly cold weather that day, resulting in losing fresh water from frozen pipes late in the evening. The Sunday morning weather degenerated with heavy snowfall making life difficult for everybody. The problem of no water was reported & staff quickly tried everything possible to remedy it, alas without success. No doubt others were suffering from the same effects of the weather. We did manage to access water from the site Launderette building. Pipework was removed the following day and repairs made. Throughout this very awkward and challenging sage all of the staff worked hard, politely and with cheerfulness and professionalism. The staff also dealt quickly and efficiently with a couple of other minor problems we had. A tractor with a snow plough was sourced to remove the snow/ice from the site roads. After 4 days we left with the weather having improved. The site looked resplendent in early morning sunshine with fantastic views across the bay towards Seaton and beyond. A lovely location, good facilities and fortunately for us accommodation with an excellent central heating system. We would certainly consider staying again - maybe during the summertime! ps. our 2 dogs loved it as well!

Room Tip: Most of the caravans are situated permitting them to have sea views; the site is on a hillside so levels are staggered. See site map.

i have been to this campsite a few times now, but my girlfriends have been going to Beer head caravan park for years. It's so beautifully nested into an almost U shape hillside. The views are breathtaking out to sea. There is a little shop, Bistro and laundrette all within the park. Within a short drive or walk into Beer you have pubs, gift shops galleries etc and the most wonderful cove beech, which has a fabulous tea room right on the beech, just perfect! The people who run the park are very friendly helpful and obliging. We had booked a while in advance for this trip, and it was the first weekend of opening after winter. We were going to be staying in a lodge at the top of the campsite, but hearing there could possibly be snow coming in for the weekend I emailed if we could be in the lower one instead. They were very understanding and did it without any problems. Well the snow did come down quite nicely and the temperatures dropped rapidly with it!! We had lovely warm central heating, but the pipe froze overnight for the water. When we woke up on the Sunday morning there was no water coming in. We phoned and they were on the case. Within no time we had a plumber trying to defrost the pipe. After a real effort our hero plumber had our water flowing again. We were snowed in by the Monday morning. Again the management of the campsite were extremely kind and came to us to say, stay put, and there was no pressure to vacate as roads were too difficult at that time. They advised us to stay put until conditions cleared up.(we should have vacated the accommodation by 10 am) in the meantime they had tractors and other vehicles clearing their paths and roadways. It was all Very impressive. The snow began to melt very quickly, so late afternoon we set off from Beer head site with a really nice feel good factor. We will be going back to this lovely caravan park at the first opportunity that presents itself and long into the future too. Well done to all the kind management for looking after us so well, in not easy circumstances......and despite the weather conditions we still managed in our cosy little lodge to have a fun weekend.

Standard of 8 berth caravan was excellent, clean & comfortable
Clfftop walks & sea views dramatically stunning.
Family run friendly & incredibly helpful & staff in reception. Had to change arrrival date/time a couple of times but it was no trouble for them. Didn't use all the parks facilities though
Only negative having to provide own bed linen bottom sheet pillow slips & duvet covers.

Room Tip: This is a caravan park & NOT a hotel.

Our absolutely favourite camp site. Peaceful and serene. Fab facilities and walks on your doorstep. Wonderful accommodating owners, what more can you want? We travel down from Buckingham, and the minute we arrive and look out to sea we chill. We have a motorhome and park up on the camping area.
