Our family group, five of us, decided to eat lunch at the Crown during the week and our first impressions were the hotel looked a bit run down. Anyway we persevered and were shown to a table.
After our drinks arrived,we waited and waited and waited for our food to arrive. Nothing we ordered should have been too complicated to prepare. The food finally arrived and two of us ordered Fish and Chips, yes, probably one of the most popular dishes in the UK.
However, this dish was simply terrible, very small fish and riddled with bones and tasted just bland.
At no time were we asked by the waiting staff if we had enjoyed our meal in fact the staff did not seem to be interested in anything.
We told the member of staff who saw us out that we were not impressed with the meal, but he just ignored us.
Well obviously the Crown do not need our custom and those we could recommend.
I do think the management should take a serious look at customer service and satisfaction if they want people to visit them.More
