Hotel Europa is a popular choice for service members coming from the States due to its proximity to Ramstein Air Base. It is a short drive to the base, and both A6 and A62 autobahn entrances. Jessica, the proprietor, will do whatever she can to make your stay comfortable, and her staff of women are very friendly. We stayed for over 3 weeks in the suite on the north end (it's a double suite with small kitchenette/refrigerator), 2nd floor. The room is quite large for European hotel rooms and we paid €100 per night, including breakfast. The free Wifi was very fast and worked well throughout the hotel.
As most people have commented, the rooms are very clean and organized, but simple and spare. Our room had 2 single beds pushed together, a couch/coffee table, large wardrobe, TV, small refrigerator/freezer, 2 burner stove, microwave, dining table with 2 chairs, and an odd assortment of dishes/pans/utensils. The maid service is very tidy and the front desk offered us the use of things in their kitchen if we needed anything else. As with most German villages, nights are very quiet and we never had any issues sleeping or being woken early by noise.
Breakfast each morning is basically the same, with little variation. Items to sample include: fresh rolls/croissants, scrambled eggs, bacon, sausages, cold cuts/cheese platter, a small assortment of pastries, cereal, fruit, juices, and coffee/tea. The location, while not downtown near other shops/restaurants/train station, is close to a few other eateries, like a Greek gyro place, Quda serving döners, Thai Thai Too in a nearby hotel. Downtown is about 1/2 mile walk along well-kept, bricked sidewalks. Ramstein is a very clean village.More
