Stayed here for 4 times on working trip. The room was pleasantly clean comfortable, toilets bathroom all well equipped. Perhaps can improve more TV channels and also the window glass to clean up so that guest can view clear on the Sibu city view looking. Other than that, its all good.

Room tip: view over the wisma sanyan and rejang river.

A lot of private business and government sectors functions are organized here.If you feel a bit bored, enjoy the song entertainment at the ground floor of the hotel by Philippines band.
Beside the hotel is Wisma Sanyan, the 28 storeys building with shopping mall. Worth to had a visit.

We arrived early around 11am and tried checking in. We booked 5 rooms for our family. The front desk staff called Erana or something similar didn’t allow us to check in at first. We asked if the rooms are ready? She replied yes, they are ready. We told her maybe let us check into 1 room since the room was ready and we have 2 kids with us. Her reply “ I know! But this is our procedure”. All this while keeping a stern face as if we are her students, not guests. Long story short, she checked us into 1 room eventually. The room is very dated but kept clean. Beds and pillows are all out of their shape so we didn’t rest well at night. Restaurant crews are quite friendly but not well trained.
On the morning during check out, my son accidentally broke the 2 coffee cups in the room. We went to the counter and inform the front desk. We are ready to pay but would expect a better treatment. Jane who served us again gave us stern and straight face while telling us to wait while she checks on the price of the 2 cups. We don’t mind paying for the broken cups but if your front desk staffs are not trained to greet or serve guests in your so called 4 stars hotel, don’t put them at the front desk...ask them to go and become a secondary teacher. And if they think they are more superior than your guests, don’t work in a hotel! A simple smile or greeting or “ it’s ok but let me check how much is the cup.” Would have made your guests feel more welcomed.
For the kind of price I paid for the stay, it is considered a waste into the river for me.

Booked in for a 2 day stay over the marathon weekend in an executive room. The room was spacious and clean however very dated- I don’t think I have seen a CRT TV in a hotel for about 15 years...we paid nearly 100 BND/night, there didn’t seem to be any executive room benefits and the breakfast options were a lot less than at other places in Miri/Kuching for the same price.

RH Hotel is conveniently located centrally in the CBD of Sibu. All types of services nearby like banks, eateries, shops, etc. From Level 1 of the hotel and via a walkway that takes you directly into Parkson Shopping complex next door of the Wisma Sanyan, the tallest building in Sibu where sky jumping takes place. Apparently, Sibu BASE Jump is an annual event held in September. BASE jumpers launch from the top of the Wisma building and land across the road in the grassed area town square below. We watch the jumpers prepare their parachutes at the ground level of the Wisma building.
The hotel is generally very well maintained, rooms are a bit out dated but acceptable standard. Our Executive Room is clean of reasonable size, bathroom is large with a bath tub with chipped rust spots. Reasonable basic supply of toiletries and coffee/tea facility. The TV is of the old fashion bulky design and reception is not that good. Free Wi-Fi and internet does not work at times. Hair dryer is awkwardly located in the draw. There is also a security safety box, iron with iron board in the wardrobe. An up grade would be good.
At the lobby level, there is the Hijau Lounge. At the time of our stay, there was a very professional band playing known as New Angels and are very good – well worth a visit and listen.
Although there are newer hotels but they are not conveniently located. We will definitely stay here again.

Room tip: We were in Room 1231 -view of Wisma Sanyan and watching BASE jumpers and the open space park. Rajang River at a distance.
