Fantastic dinner at this charming resturant. Best eggplant parm I have ever had. All of our dishes were great.

While wandering around the delightful historic centre of Locorotondo, we came across a man shelling some walnuts, of which he offered us a taste, quite different from buying them in packs at home. It turned out that he came from U Curdunn, so where better to go for lunch? Being autumn, there were no outside tables so it was hard to see much of the restaurant from the outside but inside there are two nice spaces, with lots of room between the tables so you won't be disturbed by neighbouring chatter.
We had very good mixed antipasti (three between five people, we are learning not to over-order!), followed by one lamb, one rabbit, one pasta with rabbit and one orechiette with fungi, all tasty. We then pushed out the boat and shared the desserts, not quite so successful but very straight. All in all, a very good lunch and I wish we could go back there now!
This is not the restaurant that you would consider first if booking in Locorotondo, but we arrived late and without reservation, and we were seated here after waiting a little. Good service, nice atmosphere, and very satisfactory Sunday lunch.
delicious food. family run and very popular so would recommend reservation. able to accommodate vegetarian and gluten free. traditional regional dishes. good service and tasty. good value.
After a fascinating morning in Locorotondo, which is probably the nicest of the Puglian inland towns, we chose U'Curdunn because the cooking smells were so good. We were not let down. The food was well cooked and not served in the alarmingly huge sized portions which other restaurants in the area provide (often as a substitute for quality).
The staff were polite and welcoming, the wine was good and not too expensive. There are tables outside on a warm day. The bill was very acceptable.
The rather strange restaurant name is apparently Celtic for a circle _ Locorotondo, the round place (geddit ?)
