All the staff are exceptionally friendly and helpful, as is the owner. (I’ve avoided using names because I don’t know the name of every member of staff and I don’t want to appear to single out or omit anyone.) There were seven young children in our party. As every parent knows, they can be fussy eaters. The chef and waiter collaborated to provide simple pasta dishes that they would enjoy. The food for people past their childhood is delicious. It is farm-fresh and of the highest quality. Much of it is sourced from the farm and is all prepared on the premises. The menu for the evening meal is carefully planned, with a progression of (usually four) complementary and seasonal items. Unlimited local wine and bottled water accompany the evening meals.
The rooms in the original masseria are spacious and attractively furnished. Some members of our party who wanted more space stayed in the new apartments. They are more luxurious, especially the bathrooms, but I preferred the atmosphere of the original masseria.
The location, southwest of Bari, is ideal. Bari is a transportation hub easily reached by train or aeroplane. I took a taxi from Bari at a cost of 40 euros, probable more than twice what it would have cost me to take a taxi from my hotel in Bari to the train station and then the train to Rutigliano, five to 10 minutes’ drive from the agriturismo. I was met there by one of the staff who drove me back to the agriturismo. The area around the agriturismo contains several attractive villages and towns that have intact mediaeval cores. I especially liked Cisternino, Trani and Polignano a Mare. After a day of sightseeing we enjoyed the modern and attractive swimming pool.

Room Tip: The top floor of the original masseria involves a lot of stairs. I believe that the new apartments are wheelchair accessible.

The place was selected based on the following criteria: 1) location to visit puglia 2) kids friendly 3) price. The agriturmismo is somehow well located if you want to visit part of puglia, however Rutigliano itself has nothing to offer. Plus, if you wish to stay by the pool, be prepared for a view on a local food factory "divella". The place is neither kids friendly for many reasons I) no food is served at lunch time, dinner is a set menu, so you basically got no choice. The place advertises itself as "didactic" with a farm, but I've never seen anything more miserable for animals. The playground for kids was so dirty and old that we didn't feel safe to let our kid play there (all rusty and broken). Despite the genuine staff, "managers" don't work on Sundays. So when we checked in and realized that the extra bed requested was not there, no one could help us.
Fun fact, when we decided to stay at the restaurant for dinner and asked for the check, the waiter nicely offered to sign it for us. He couldn't say how much we were going to be charged for that dinner. I could write a long list of things that didn't go well, bh
I guess the service reflects the price. Don't expect much by going there

This rural Agriturismo was in an excellent remote location. The main house is beautifully renovated and a lovely space. The food here for vegan/ vegetarian is top class with complimentary farm produced organic wine. The only problem, which caused us to cut our stay short was the paper thin walls in the new accommodation. You literally could hear everything through the walls which was not what we had expected. I can't comment on the main house accommodation.

We spent a week there this July and can't speak highly enough about the staff or the facilities. The restaurant was amazing as well, the food there was the best we had on our month long stay in Italy. We spent the first few nights in the older part of the building. The room was very clean but lots of stairs so that could be an issue for some. The remaining part of our stay was at the new building, right by the pool. The room was gorgeous, clean, large with a lovely jet tub. The pool was great as well. overall value for the money, this spot can't be beat. Location was very central. When we first were driving in we were concerned as there were some large buildings nearby and we were accustomed to staying at agriturismo's that were a bit more remote. We were pleased though once on the grounds, as it is quiet and beautiful.

Special shout out to our awesome waiter Giuseppe and the cook Giuseppe and Gabriel who took such great care of us while we were there.

Room Tip: New rooms are larger, updated and close to the pool!

Wonderful Agriturismo close to the medieval city of Rutigliano, beatiful main building with broad history, very nice rooms also in the second building that is built in conformance with the historic design of the whole estate. Pool is not too big but absolutely sufficient for a few days of sunbathing and swimming. Great breakfast buffet and tasty dinner with typical local food. Very gentle and friendly staff. The self-produced products from the Agriturismo are a perfect souvenier to complete a great stay at the Masseria.
