We often stay here when visiting family. There isn't much choice in Kichijoji, this one or the more expensive Dai-ichi Hotel. We are rather fond of the REI Tokyu Inn and the last time we booked a twin room rather than the semi double room. The extra space, by Tokyo standards anyway, was nice.
There has been some upgrades at the hotel in the decor, moving it from drab to nice. White bathrooms are good and new tap fittings and the supply of bottled water every day is a good touch.
We wanted to watch the sumo from Fukuoka on TV and the English commentary button enabled us to get the English commentary from NHK.
We used the hotel restaurant for breakfast on one day and it was good to get some grilled fish for breakfast, Japanese-style. Plenty of other options though, including western food.More
