Not much activity. All wild life (lion, tiger, white tiger) only 1 animal per cage. The tramps ride never explain about the wild life just keep quite and talk among each others only.

I went several zoos around the world and this is the worse so far. The area is huge. However the maintenance is badly needed. The signage, direction, cleanliness(toilets), animal habitats all are in extremely bad condition. The state government should provide more fund to maintain this place if you want to have a zoo. Please don't think that you can rely on the profit from locals or tourist in order to maintain this place. This is so sad. I attached with images of leapord viewing area. Full of plastic and rubbish. Another terrible image is a dead Otter and it already start to rot. You can see few big flies at the tail part. And the water definitely contaminate. Extremely sick environment for the rest of the Otters to continue swim in it. Please do something! Terrible!

Just an average zoo, Quite big, great with kids around but maybe a bit boring for adults. Good Parking, good animal selection but if you compare to other zoos, it pales.

It's a sad place.
The ticket counter didn't start operation on time.
The tram driver was late.
The surrounding was full of rubbish and weeds.
We're greeted by swarms of mosquitoes (yeah some might say it's a zoo, so what you expect? but not like we're in the National Park)
The signage were out of place and no proper direction was given.
The kid had done his own research prior to the visit, and he took note of the special and unique animal there in Melaka Zoo. He went back with disappointment as the mosquitoes attack was unbearable for all of us.
We decided to call off the visit less than an hour due to the poor and sad condition of the zoo.

Is really not quite stroller friendly, some parts of the park cannot access easily with baby stroller, but overall still OK. Don't buy the tram ticket, the tram is slow and see nothing, long queue. At this size is unnecessary for healthy adult and children. Weather is hot, remember to put some insect repellent.
