lovely friendly staff, good lighting and warm fire with an uplifting feel. The best fish and chips in the Cotswolds. Speak with Peter for any special requests for foodie ideas and I'm sure you will find him accommodating. My fourth visit for eating in the bar area and I will return.

Charming Inn with updated plumbing and beautiful wall paper all over. Lovely fireplace going in the pub room. The bar is full of interesting libations and creative cocktails. They serve traditional pub food but also updated and extremely delicious dishes for dinner. The bread and pastries were fresh and perfect as well. They definitely know what they are doing here.

Room Tip: They all have their special charm (I saw 3)

A nice place to stay with fun decor. Not the best welcome, smiles few and far between. Came back at 10pm on Sunday evening to find fire had gone out and pub virtually empty. Hard to pinpoint specifics just lacking in flair really. No fresh fruit on offer at breakfast though we did not ask. Rooms nice.

Met my friend here for lunch. A short-ish but tasty sounding menu, nice looking place and friendly staff. We shared nachos to start with which were good, with a decent amount of jalapeños for once. I then had tomato and burrata salad which was fine and my friend had fish and chips which she was a bit disappointed with. Followed on with an excellent cheeseboard whilst sitting by the fire and gossiping. The staff were kind enough to deduct the fish from the menu as my friend had barely touched it. Great chips though!

This is a really nicely decorated and well thought out dining room and was a very pleasant place to sit and relax with an old friend.

We read an article on this pub on Tatler magazine and wanted to try as we were near by. Ordered fish & chips and some other starters. The chips on fish & chips were good but the batter on fish was very thick, fish didn’t taste fresh and it tasted of some meat, perhaps they use the same fryer for frying meat. Decorated cute but the service was charmless, no smile.
