Very interesting cave complex. We didn't pre- book our tickets but as it was quiet, tickets were readily available. It may be worth booking tickets on line at busy times as there are only so many tickets available every hour.

The trip takes approx 45 minutes. Involves a journey in a boat (watch your head), a short walk, then a boat journey back. Our guide / boatman spoke a little bit of English and really tried to involve us (we were the only English family).

An interesting and worth while complex to visit. If these caves were in the UK you'd have to endure a long winded safety talk and wear a life jacket and a hard hat. Not necessary here as common sense wins the day!

What can be better than when you cruise on a big ship as Independence, and we stop different places and are lucky to come to this Grutas de San Jose. Well worth the trip with a little boat inside on the Cave lake.

Had a trip here from Valencia, and luckily got tickets with 5 minutes to spare otherwise would have had to wait another hour. Caves were amazing, had to duck a few times in the boat to avoid hitting my head. Only downside was that the guide was Spanish, and even though there were signs for audio commentary in other languages we didn't know where to get a headset from

Very interesting place with great views inside the caves. The trip is in the boat on a cave river. Tourist audio guides with lots of languages. Of course much more interesting to listen to the boatman, but only if you understand Spanish.

We had a round trip with one of Royal Caribbean trips, and this was
one of the best we ever had. And I have seen many, like Oregan Caves in USA, the Gibraltar Caves, Dragon Caves in Mallorca and more.
The San Jose Caves, or Coves de Sant Jose was great. A little walk and then
a boat trip inside the Caves. Then we walked about 20 minutes, still inside the Caves
with all the beautiful lit up stalagmites and stalactites and ponds and even the longest under ground river. Then a boat trip back. We found it amazing and recommed it.
You must be abel to walk and bend under narrow cave roof, but it is not frightening.
