Hibiki is a restaurant conveniently placed near the American embassy in Tokyo (Akasaka).
I wouldn't recommend it for dinner. Despite the upscale deco, service was extremely slow and rarely available to help. Food quality was OK (nothing stellar though). Price for what you get was the real issue. I got for 3,000 Yen a piece of grilled fish no longer than 2". Add 1,400 Yen for enough sashimi to feed a toddler (6 very small pieces), a bowl of basic rice for a premium, a glass of the least expensive sake, and you end up spending over 6,000 Yen per person and still feeling hungry. Frankly, this place is way too expensive for what it delivers, we are nowhere near Michelin star restaurant here. To be avoided.
