The park is huge and awesome place to unwind. Would have been great during the cherry blossom season.

We visited on a Sunday with the intention of just visiting the nature museum, but ended up spending the whole day in this beautiful park.

It was such a hot and sunny day, and we came across a market that had food, drinks and all sorts of homewares and souvenirs to buy.

Next to the market there was a large fountain that had displays of flowering bonsai all around it.
After we came out of the museum we went for another walk and found Shinobazunoike Bentendo which had a shaded area to look over the lake.
There are so many museums and the zoo within the park that it could probably fill several days of activities if you wanted.

The park is easily accesible from Ueno station and offers plenty of things to do for sunny and also rainy days (museums, a zoo, shrines, etc). You could easily spend a day here, going from activity to activity or just relaxing in the beautiful environment.

Ueno park is a lovely place to walk around. It has many spots and it has a good view of the city next to the last samurai.
