Lovely park to walk around. Lake is a peaceful area after the busy city of Tokyo. Boating lake nice for a picnic. Boats in the shape of swans on the lake the children were enjoying

We were here during the spring festival and as you can imagine the number of locals who had booked the spot to picnic with their friends and loved ones, some even booked the best spots since 3am ! It was an experience we will never forget. Like people said, when in japan, do what the locals do, so, we did ! We had nasi lemak picnic under the Sakura trees at ueno park with the locals. the park is huge, with so many things to do. We spent almost the whole day there, we were squeezing ourselves, past the millions of Japanese who visited ueno park on that day. and we did not finished what we wanted to do! It was a great experience though to witness first hand of the Japanese people and their culture... love it

This was my very first time experiencing Sakura season in Japan and it is an experience I will never forget . The park was breathtaking and beautiful. Like most places in Japan it was clean. We visited the park and also made our way to the Ueno Zoo which is connected to the park. I would definitely visit again !

We visited during the last week of March and Ueno Park was incredible. The amount of cherry blossoms was staggering and it created a beautiful atmosphere, great for photography. We brought some food and ate underneath the trees. There was an area for renting paddle boats and also some street food vendors in the area across the street.
