This a a gorgeous spot 7 km off the highway between Parksville and Coombs. We have been here many times but always enjoy the beauty of the forest and Falls. With all the rain this fall, The Falls were roaring.

Spring, summer, or fall, we love coming to this place either for a walk, picnic, or both. The falls can be rugged and raw, yet a bit further downstream people are swimming.

Make sure you drive just past the campground to the day use area to the trail head. Not a long walk to the lower falls and it's a groomed trail.

Just a short drive from Parksville is a very interesting, beautiful provincial park with 2 waterfalls rushing in a very narrow canyon so not only is it magnificent but very loud. The hike to both falls is about 2 km and quite steep in some places. It is very much worth the time to visit this site.

We didn't know what to expect when driving down the winding narrow road for what seemed like ages but the falls were worth it. There are lower and upper falls. Both beautiful.
