It probably won't be the longest hike you take but it is a "don't miss" when in the area. Beautiful falls await you as you do this circuitous walk. The duration can be quite short if you're an avid hiker but is a very doable leisurely walk even if you're physically lacking.

We stopped here on our way to Coombs and took a little hike to the falls. They are literally 10 minutes from the parking lot and if you are mobility challenged not too hard a walk. There are hikes that you can do that are more challenging but we were happy just to take a look at the falls. There is a lovely cement suspension bridge over the falls so you can get a good look. I would highly recommend this as one of the top sights in Vancouver Island.

This a a gorgeous spot 7 km off the highway between Parksville and Coombs. We have been here many times but always enjoy the beauty of the forest and Falls. With all the rain this fall, The Falls were roaring.

Spring, summer, or fall, we love coming to this place either for a walk, picnic, or both. The falls can be rugged and raw, yet a bit further downstream people are swimming.

Make sure you drive just past the campground to the day use area to the trail head. Not a long walk to the lower falls and it's a groomed trail.
