To the Murphy family.
We wish you a most pleasant and a fantastic experience with us here at The Twelve.
Please let us know if you need anything.
The fairys sneak out in the early morning. There's nets at reception for the kids.
Super hotel, room was very big, breakfast was super delicious! Location was great, just a few minutes walking from a great restaurant. The service was amazing, super clean!
Totally recommend this hotel!
Perfect location in Galway as we didn’t want to stay right in the city. City is only a ten minute drive, but due to the location of The Twelve Hotel, it feels like we’re miles from anything. We found the complimentary car par ok, then was greeted at reception with a glass of hot punch. Reception were very helpful and informative and armed us with maps! WiFi is also complementary. Our room is spacious, clean and although quite modern, very inviting. The bed is super king size, we have tea/coffee making facilities, a wardrobe, a desk as well as seating/coffee table area. The receptionist from our hotel in Dingle highly recommended the meals here too, so we’ll be dining here tonight! Would definitely stay here again :)
Was in Galway for a sporting occasion last weekend. Dates had to be altered due to weather previous weekend. Vanessa in Reservations was most helpful with the changing of date.
On arrival we were greeted with a hot fruit punch checking in at reception. It was a lovely wee treat and greatly appreciated.
The room was top class and as described on the website. The greeting card in the room was another lovely touch. The room had all the necessary requirements for a comfortable stay.
There was a choice of two restaurants. Unfortunately we had already arranged to meet friends in the city.
Breakfast on Sunday morning was from a varied menu and was what a breakfast should be & was served to us at the table. After breakfast the two ladies went looking for the hotel bakery shop in search of more wheaten bread to bring home.
The hotel was busy but the staff were courteous, attentive and on top of their game. Well done.
We will be returning in the summer for alonger stay.
We recently stayed at the Twelve, a hotel that my family and I have visited for many year and before it was even a hotel when it was the Twelve Pins. The Twelve has always been one of my favourite places to come for a drink and food. Until our stay this time around.
I booked this hotel as a birthday present for my mother, who was born in Barna and now lives in Manchester, as she loves the place. We checked into the hotel and the receptionists couldn’t be any more helpful. They are a credit to the hotel.
The problems came with the bar staff. To say they were rude is an understatement, bare in mind I have been here many times and always found the staff to be polite and friendly. There was a bar tender who was very curt and also rude to my mother for no other reason than she asked about a certain type of wine glass she had liked last time she visited.
That evening, 1st February, we booked a table to eat with my family who live in Galway for my mother’s birthday and to celebrate the birth of child in the family. A waiter came over and asked if we was ready, his reply, again to my mother was “I have other tables and you need to hurry up.” We only asked for a few more minutes but his attitude was poor and nothing like I have experienced at the Twelve.
Unfortunately the experience we had in the bar soured our stay, especially my mothers, and it ruined the few days that we very rarely get to spend together
Thank you again Liam,
As expressed in our conversation off line, we are extremely disappointed that this happened and it has been taken most seriously. We will not allow the lustre of our other team members to be tarnished by any individual. It is not what The Twelve is about.
We do hope to prove this again to you in the future.
Very best wishes,
Fergus and Team
We booked The Twelve as it was highly recommended as an excellent 'Pet Friendly' Hotel and it exceeded our expectations. Our rescue dog Archie suffers from 'Separation Anxiety' so it was great to be able to take him with us for 3 nights. He was treated like royalty - our suite was very spacious with everything we and a dog could need. When downstairs water bowls & biscuits appeared for Archie as soon as we sat down. He was on his best behaviour and set a very high standard for other doggie guests! Dinner was fabulous in both the Pins Gastro Bar and West Restaurant. The pancakes for breakfast were 'to die for'. We had a pizza for lunch from Pizzeria Dozzina which was scrumptious. Staff were efficient, attentive and really friendly. It was obvious by their interactions with each other that they were very happy working in The Twelve. The seaweed bath and massage from the excellent therapist was so relaxing. We would certainly recommend this hotel very highly to anyone with or without a pet. The Twelve Hotel really deserves all the Awards it has received and many more. Looking forward to a return visit. Woof Archie!
Wow! You have touched on every aspect of The Twelve. We are made up of many parts and you managed to experience every one.
We are delighted with what you have written here.
Thank you and we look most forward to welcoming you all back again soon.
Very best wishes,
Fergus and Team
