Courtmacsherry hotel is a small yet delightful hotel set in a beautiful location. Sitting on the lawn with a spectacular view of the bay is idyllic. The staff could not be more helpful and nothing was too much trouble. Add some great food, from the full irish breakfast to dinner, either a la carte or bar food and you have a perfect setting for somewhere to stay in this picturesque, quiet village - and a great base to explore the region.

Visited recently with my partner. It's an old fashioned place but that's okay.
The views are to die for overlooking the sea. There's a walk along the sea and def visit the Community Shop to support the locality.
The hotel itself is very relaxing and the staff are super helpful and friendly.
The thing that lets it down is the food. It's adequate only.
The dinner menu is okay. I got a nice chicken curry which was tasty.
But the Irish breakfast wasn't great.
Very drably presented and I wasn't impressed at all.
Overall experience was good and I would go back again but they need to sort out the food...

5 couples spent the weekend here. Experienced great food, great atmosphere, outstanding customer service. Well worth a visit - the roaring fire awaits in winter and the party on the lawn in the summer ! Can't wait for next visit !

We have Sunday Lunch in this Hotel many times and really we were never disappointed, always nice food very well presented, The Restaurant is oozing with ambiance.....love the place, the staff are so nice and even the owner Billy and Ellen Adams are there to say Hallo and is everything ok.. Caroline is another vital cog in the machine, full of charm and give you that welcoming feeling....

Invited to join the Halloween Medieval Banquet in the Courtmacsherry Hotel, I thought what a great escape for me and time out! And it lived up to my expectations, away from the madding crowd!

The warm welcome from Canis the RM, lovely and chatty, he gave all the local information of where to go and what to do. Ellen & Billy the young couple who own the property were so warm, down to earth family people. They are working to really well continue the development of this historic property, the holiday homes and caravanning park.

Greeted by two Medieval Guards on Horseback, it set the scene for a super night. A big warm open fire, music in the background and a lovely hum from happy customers, eating in the lounge as I arrived.

We had a wonderful medieval banquet prepared by Garry, the creative chef and his team. The Chefs came out to greet us all. Lots of fun and banter. Great food, with lots of great taste, simply prepared to give the best flavours which so many places destroy with too much going on the plate these days. But then its West Cork so only the best meats and veggies sourced here. Well done to the team!

After the banquet was over, the theatrics were fun outside with Billy and his crew! Great music and dancing went on into the wee hours!

Next morning after a tasty hearty breakfast, I went for a wonderful walk through the forest and onto the beach. Where would you get it in the world! Certainly a rejuvenation of my soul!

Simple, homely and warm is how I would describe my visit. Certainly less is more in this great place. A lovely place to take your partner for a little escape in Winter! A real fun and safe place in Summer with Children. Enjoy this tranquil place winter or summer!

Room Tip: Ask for a front room, it over looks the bay!
