My wife, sister and brother-in-law pricked Le Duguesclin to have a dinner at when arriving in Grandcamp Maisy. I am not a food critic, but this Restuarant has seen better days and is not near as competitive in food quality or service as many other of the eateries in Grandcamp Maisy. I had a steak that was just too old and tough to eat, the fries were saturated in oil, and the veggies were old. The steak was very strong and could have been a one-off, but the quality of the remainder of our meals led me to believe else wise. But, it does have a nice view of the ocean and was clean. The bathrooms we're spotless (if that matters to you)

Grandcamp has a number of excellent restaurants that we tried in the past but we wanted to give this place a try because of the location and the view of the sea. That was great for sure. The food and the service were average at best. Ok but nothing more than that. Will not return most likely as this little town has better pkaces just a few blocks away.

Had dinner here two nights in a row as it was close to our Gite. Certainly given the season we visited it wasn't full of people. We where treated to great meals and friendly service. While our French was weak they made the best of it. The fish and oysters where fresh. All the variations and we had six different dinners in two nights(three people) where enjoyable. We found it to be a great refuge in the storm of winter in Normandy.

A lifesaver! Arrived in time for a late lunch on a cold, miserable winter day during the low season. As befits a restaurant right by the coast, the highlight was the fish - delicious turbot and sole. The French fries were also very good. Dessert was a rich galette du roi and chocolate cake. Service was friendly and hospitable. Recommended.

Right on the ocean. Room had dated décor and bathroom/shower was a bit cramped. Still-bed was comfortable-people there were very nice, continental breakfast was good-not American-but good. Location good-VERY CLOSE to Maisy battery, and short drives to Omaha beach and Arromanche. Also close to Saint Mere Eglise-Saint Vith and Utah Beach. Right across the street from the ocean-2 very good bakeries within a short walk.
