Staff are very friendly, clean rooms, great food plenty of choice to suit all tastes. Small pool, not great views from the rooms. The front restaurant and bar are sea front and spent many hours chilling with a Mythos. Open to all so try while in the village, great Greek night and dancing.

We had a very good time there. Everything is near, like supermarket and a very nice tavern named Alexandros. The swimming pool is very nice and partly 2,3 meter deep. The beach is directly at the hotel. There are several places where you can order drinks or food. One of them is directly at the beach. There was only wifi in the swimming pool surrounding, which was a shame. It would be nice to have wifi in the complete complex. The food was very good and diverse. We had an apartment for 2 people. The bathroom was only reachable thru the living room. Because I was with my mother, I was sleeping in the living room. What was nice to is the fact that nature was not disturbed in any way.

After reading the glowing reviews of this hotel, the decision to book it was an easy one. We visited Corfu several years ago and knew we wanted to be on the North coast. Additionally, we wanted a room with breakfast only (so we could try all the Tavernas in the area) and we needed a separate room for our adult daughter who was traveling with us. Robolla Beach offered everything we were looking for.

We arrived mid-morning and were quickly and efficiently checked in. Communication was easy, with German and English understood and spoken by many of the employees. We took a break with a cold drink while the maids finished preparing our room, and even though check-in wasn’t officially until 1400, we were in the room by 1100 and on the beach by 1200.

Our first impression of the hotel was very good. Built on a sloping hill, all (~60) of the Apartments/Studios face the ocean. The architecture, building colors, and landscaping give the complex a quaint look and feel. The main building (with Restaurant, Lobby and Bar) was the focal point, with the pool and grassy area directly in front and bordering the beach. The beach itself was fine sand that sloped very gently to the water, which itself was warm, clear and calm. There is one row of umbrellas and sun beds along the beach so that everyone has an unobstructed view of the water and, in the distance, Albania. There are also plenty of trees in the grassy area to provide shade if want to stay off the beach.

We were given an apartment (#49) in one of the new buildings (completed for this season), but the basic set-up in all the rooms is the same. The apartment consisted of two rooms divided by sliding doors, and a bathroom. The first room was a kitchinette/living room area that included a couch, coffee table, small kitchen table with 4 chairs, and a single bed. The kitchen area had a hot water pot, a coffee maker, a refrigerator, and a two burner stove. A variety of pots/pans/dishes/silverware were on hand as well (including a corkscrew/bottle opener). The second room had two twin beds pushed together as a doublebed, two nightstands with reading lights, a closet with plenty of clotheshangers, a three drawer chest, a large mirror, and telephone. French doors opened to the balcony from both rooms. The balcony had a nice marble/wrought iron table with 4 wood/fabric chairs and a large clothes drying rack. The bathroom was basic, with a bath/shower combination, toilet, and sink. Oh, and another telephone. In my opinion two things were missing from the bathroom: A mount to hang the shower head on, and some extra hooks to hang clothes or towels on while you are bathing.
All windows and balcony doors include pull-down screens to keep the mosquitoes out which worked really well. The air conditioning worked perfectly and quickly cooled the room down, even on the hottest days.

We booked breakfast only, and although the breakfast was fairly basic it included everything we needed (eggs, ham, cheeses, salami, tomatoes, cucumbers, breads (with a toaster), cakes, cookies, and several types of cereal. Coffee, milk, fruit juices were also available. The restaurant prepared several dinner dishes for the half-board customers and what I saw looked really tasty. We ate A-la- Carte at the hotel several times and enjoyed everything we tried, especially the fried fish, spaghetti carbonara, and Gyros. The cooks did an amazing job, and the service was fantastic. The wait staff was competent and always attentive. Marietta and Vassilis made the best cocktails ever!

The guest structure during our stay was probably 98 percent German, with a mixture of ages although the majority appeared to be middle-aged (40-60). There were children of all ages and all seemed to enjoy themselves. I heard management say that 90 percent of the guests were regulars and come back year after year.

We took part in two excursions: The Panorama drive through Northern Corfu was very nice with stops in Kanoni, Corfu City, Paleokastritsa, with a lunch stop above Paleokastritsa with an incredible view. The only down side was the push to keep it all on schedule made the trip seem rushed. The “Grotto” boat trip to Paxo/Anti-Paxos was long (12 hrs) but was worth seeing, and swimming in the clear blue water off Anti-Paxos was amazing.

As mentioned earlier, the food at Robolla Beach was very good, but we also visited several restaurants in Roda, some more than once. For Italian food, Pixida can’t be beat. Absolutely the best pizza I (we) have ever eaten. Alexandro’s (Smiley’s Rooftop) has outstanding Greek food and friendly service. We went back to both places three times. Roxanne’s is also worth a visit.

We had a great time on Corfu, and especially at Robolla Beach Hotel. When the bus picked us up for our trip home, we honestly felt like we were leaving family. Other people already on the bus even commented on the wonderful send-off we were given. We will definitely be back!
