We were going horseriding at the stables nearby and wanted a light lunch. The Soda Dona Marlen was just what we were looking for. They prepared excellent freshly made sandwiches along with a portion of french fries if required along with coffee and/or soft drinks. The waitress was very friendly and helpful. They also took credit cards. Highly recommended.

Very friendly ambiance. and lovely food. Great for lunch, with a sunny view of the steep wooded hillside of the valley.

The staff person was very pleasant and worked to understand our limited Spanish. (Her English was better than out Spanish). We had simple typical meals that were "ok". A nice place to eat with a great view. Ask about the morning Quetzal tours.

Great little restaurant. A nice break from some of the expensive hotel restaurants. The restaurant is up a little hill and the dining room has great views of the valley. All sorts of birds flew by as we enjoyed a delicious traditional Costa Rican meal. Although the coffee wasn’t that great the costado with trout is excellent as well as the papusas.

Just down the road from Trogan Lodge- basic trout and chips lunch. Bit overpriced for a soda but there is a captive market.
