Wow, this incredible country pub puts the "D" in delicious. With a fine selection of local ales and a jovial landlord the food here is of the best quality and quantity I have come across for a long time. I started with the "Timbales" which is made up with smoked salmon, prawns and cray fish and various herbs, followed with the chicken and brie pie which was complimented with new potatoes and vegetables. My friends sampled the pate and a chicken curry (made to what ever strength you requested). Because of the size of the portions I suggest returning to your armchair for a long snooze. Excellent value for money, well done to the chef and landlord.

Room tip: only there for lunch

We stayed at this hotel for 2 nights. When I arrived it was pouring with rain, and the deputy manager got an umbrella to show me to my room. The room was spacious and clean. The bathroom was more than adequate. We enjoyed a full English Breakfast cooked to order. We decided to have our evening meals there too and both nights it was excellent. The service was brilliant, and the staff were very friendly and extremely helpful. I would highly recommend staying here.

Lovely old establishment . We were lucky enough to get by the Fireside with a nice glass of red. There is a restaurant here which seems popular. Good service and a smile with it.The ingle nook fireplace is wonderful, with a lovely settee sat in front of it. Parking around the back. Although there is a bus stop right outside. Number 17 bus from Canterbury or Hythe.

Very friendly staff. Lovely old pub in a gorgeous village. The food was all locally sourced, reasonably priced and tasted fantastic. None of this chucked in a microwave stuff you get in a lot of pubs. Worth a visit and i will definatly be coming back for some more.
