Hermitage is a fabulous property. Very spacious but has a homely feel . All my guests enjoyed the amenities offered, the children loved the games room and the toy cupboard. Although the weather was bracing a walk along the beach was lovely and then warming up in front of the sitting rooms We weren't brave enough to venture to get the boat out on the meare.I would definitely rent the house again.
Hermitage House is absolutely perfect ! From the front of the property you would never believe the "hidden gem" that is inside.Fantastic location overlooking the lake with jetty and rowing boat. Parking for several vehicles.Inside the ambience is evident with the beautiful decor of every room. Very tasteful. There is every amenity possible-so thoughtful.Clean and comfortable -"home from home" ! Fantastic peaceful location- stunning to wake up to each morning and survey the wildlife.A feast for the eyes ! The rental company gave excellent service /helpful and friendly. Thankyou to the owners who allowed us to celebrate a family 70th birthday (and a 42nd birthday-son-in-laws ) All five grandchildren aged 4-11 had so much fun they did not want to leave ! In all honesty we were reluctant to go too!!WE WILL CHERISH THE HAPPY MEMORIES of our time spent here. Highly recommendable.THANKYOU SOOOOO MUCH TO ALL INVOLVED.
A large family house which was ideal for a Golden Wedding celebration. Three generations stayed for a long weekend and there was plenty of space for all. A lovely outlook over the Meare. Very peaceful.
Just returned from a long weekend with a group of 10 girlfriends. Beautiful house with amazing views of the meare, located in the heart of the village close to the shops, beach and lovely Dolphin pub. The house is very conducive to both fun and relaxation. We were lucky with the weather so spent lots of time on the terrace chatting, eating and drinking and watching the boats and wildlife. Highly recommend a walk to Aldeburgh too. Would definitely come again! Top tip for staying at the house: bring extra loo roll & extra dishwasher tablets. And bottled water as a few of us thought it tasted funny.
Lovely house in a great location. Nice garden with direct access to the lake (meare) and has a small rowing boat to explore in. House is very comfortable and light, bedrooms and reception rooms are good and kitchen is large, only slight downside is the small oven and hob. There are great walks directly from the house with Aldeburgh two miles away down the beach.
