Second time visiting
This site , absolutely love it !!maybe a little basic but clean and very friendly , especially the man that runs the bar at night !! Would defo recommend for a stop over on way down to southern Spain, Salamanca definetly worth a visit and bus leaves from site !

Large, slightly sloping campsite on outskirts of Salamanca, part of a hotel complex.

Pitches are long and wide and good mixture of sunny or shade and all are close to hook up points.

Toilet, shower and washing facilities adequate, free wifi on pitches.
Swimming pool and restaurants were both closed as of beginning of April.

Booked a week for purselves in motorhome en route to Portugal. Well positioned sight for Salamanca. Sight was ok. Pool closed. Shop and bar on site extremely limited in size, stock and opening hours. Toilet block scrupulously clean. Sight generally seemed to be lacking tlc but I think the price reflected this. £100 for motorhome and 2 adults seemed reasonable. Pitches unloved and ground uneven but large enough.

In January it is very cold here. However the woman on reception was very friendly, professional and spoke very good English. The pitches are spacious, level and have grass! (we have just come from the south where grass is rare). 2 pin EHU in a box that looked frightening, but nobody died :). showers are clean and water temp adjustable -push button timer tap though. They did seem to be heated in the morning, my wife told me, but the shower room was very cold in the evening when I went. A cheap bus ride right from the site into the lovely city of Salamanca. The Hotel Regio is on the same plot and well cooked meals can be had at their restaurant at a discounted price. I would guess that in warmer months it would be quite beautiful here. This site also has the best site wifi we have encountered in a month of travelling.

Still moving south in our Motorhome, we were very pleased we decided to make a 2 night stop at the Camping Regio. The campsite was based at the rear of a lovely hotel which meant we had all the facilities of the hotel. The campsite like a lot of the Spanish sites was sheltered with trees for shade, but had no hedging for privacy. It took a bit of time to find a pitch that was sort of level with our ramps - the ground was a bit rough -but there was lots of space and the sanitary facilities were very good. There was a very large pool and paddling pool with tennis courts and large grassed area with sunbeds to relax in.
It cost 34 Euros for 2 nights using our ACIS card - a bargain! There was a great bus service that came into the hotel grounds to take us into Salamanca and we were fortunate that the day we visited was a fete day and there were parades and music in the streets. Salamanca is a beautiful city and I would happily return to the campsite and revisit Salamanca.
