“Homestay, charming, well located”
Reviewed 21 November 2017 for a stay in November 2017

PROS:

This is a home-stay (converted into a hotel)
So its small, quaint, charming etc
Has wifi
Offers light breakfast (canned juice / coffee / tea / eggs & toast)
Rooms are spacious, GREAT view (we were in #103)
Located near lots of convenience stores / wine-shops and a great restaurant around the corner called The Goan Room
Dominoes Pizza delivers if you need a change
TV has cable etc

CONS:

Dona Paula as a location is great, but the jetty is over-run by tourists and stalls, so it's not ideal.
Casa Tropicana being small has no service facilities, for example small kitchen and limited facilities
They advt a gym, which has one weights machine :)

OVERALL 4* because it has EVERYTHING you need but its limited and small
So you may need to step out for things
VALUE FOR MONEY 5*

“Big and good value for family and friends wanting a relaxing holiday”
Reviewed 9 October 2017 for a stay in September 2017

The house was big and comfortable to host 14 people. We were a group of friends meeting up together for a vacation. The architecture was amazing and the room I was in had a full frontal beach view. They were accommodating and made sure our requests were best looked after. All in all we felt it was good value for a big group of people.

“AN EXPERIENCE TOUCHED WITH SPLENDOUR”

The Portuguese Style villa is a place where tradition meets luxury.

First of all, I would like to thank Mr. Bryan Da Silva, the owner and team Casa Tropicana for everything & special thanks to Tanuja, the lady manager with awesome professional skills.

We have stayed for three nights (28/9/17 to 1/10/17), gazed everywhere through the property, found that it is spotlessly clean, a small but very clean swimming pool overlooking the sea and tropical garden all over the property. They also have pets like birds and turtles; well maintained.

We have been offered room no 103, quite big with a vast balcony overlooking the sea; Hawai beach to the left side and Dona Paula beach to the other side. In fact they have all 7 rooms with balcony and sea view. Rooms are big, cozy with comfy beds and nice aircon. They also provide free toiletories and breakfast. Breakfast was delicious, with good quality and quantity: Fruits, fruit juice, bread, butter/jam, omlette/boiled egg and tea/coffee. The tiny in house bar serveshard/soft drinks. One should make payment through credit/debit cards as well.

We have been suggested the best in everything, while go for a sight seeing or rent a car, they arranged all. Returned back to my hometown a few days back, but still can't forget the ever smiling staffs of Casa Tropicana. Thanks again for being a perfect host. Will surely meet again!

“Relaxing Retreat”
Reviewed 23 August 2017 for a stay in August 2017

After weeks of research my husband Ravi finalised this place for our most awaited vacation. The villa is placed in a very quiet location near Donna paula jetty. The interiors are very well done (old heritage kinda style) by Mr Bryan the owner of the property. Our room faced the beach and the pool. Very neat and well maintained. Staff is very courteous and manager Mr Sudhakar is one affable person who greets you very humbly and keeps you engrossed in conversation. Room is quite spacious, breakfast is complimentary. Improvement points are- fumigation for mosquitoes in common area(property has lot of plants) which Mr Sudhakar has promised he will do, stronger wi fi (doesn't connect on iPhone), more breakfast options( restaurant to come up soon in Oct). Despite all these minor issues, I would still suggest to go for it as it's worth the money and good off season retreat. We enjoyed our stay and would like to go again.
