Went for dinner there for Sunday dinner with the family. Food was great and service was great. I have been back there three times now and have been pleased each time.
Portions were a very good size. Would definitely go again

Entrance to Brosna Lodge is nice and I'd say it would be lovely to sit outside on a sunny day. Lunch was served in the bar which is quite dark and due a bit of a make over. The Bistro area that's obviously used for evening meals did look brighter and more welcoming.
Food was lovely, couldn't fault it at all. Chowder was delicious and tuna melt very nice, price reasonable too. But there were loud drunken men down the other end of the bar that cursed and shouted through our lunch so we couldn't really relax and enjoy it. Ended up going down the road to Flynns for our coffees.

A victim of a decline in tourism to the area yet it holds its own and value for money. Like a lot of places in Ireland now needs some modernisation but this is reflected in the price and more than made up for in the characters that work there and who provide a unique atmosphere which is priceless, Oh and the breakfast let's just say I hope ya haven't eaten the night before cause you will not go hungry. My advice pay a little less for your room and buy an extra few pints and sing a song or two.....

As we passed through Banagher we happened upon The Brosna Lodge. The roaring fire and even warmer welcome was refreshing and frankly rare in this day and age! The food, team and atmosphere was lovely and when we pass through again we will be back!

Myself and my husband had lunch here today. Food excellent and very reasonably priced - 3 course meals for €19.95. Portions were large and my husband, who often complains about small portions, was full and happy on leaving. Staff very pleasant, helpful and courteous and the atmosphere was lovely. Eoin, the new owner was on hand to welcome his guests and have a friendly chat. Definitely worth visiting if you want excellent food.
