Hosts spoke English. Bed comfortable enough but room was rather cold. Noisy during day because of airplanes and proximity to airport. Did not enjoy the pasta dish that was all the cook was making that night. Staff friendly and helpful.

This was one of my best hotel visits ever despite needing to book it very last minute due to weather issues and missing a flight. The owners and staff are remarkable people with true empathy and kindness. I felt like I was welcomed into their family for the day rather than just playing the role of guest.

The hotel is comfortable and beautifully quaint. The rooms are clean, comfortable, and quiet with shutters to block the light if desired. There's plenty of seating downatsirs in the dining room or on the patio. The food at the resaurant is authentic and delicious. And the entire hotel has a calming quality to it.

The owners are two of the kindest and warmest people I've met. They went out of their way to ensure my comfort and happiness, and their empathy is unmatched. I spent the day at the hotel and watched their interactions with other guests - who they treated with the same empathy and warmth as they did with me. I felt as if I were being welcomed into their home, rather than just their hotel. They have two beautiful and friendly dogs who love a good belly rub as well, and are ameanble to a few cuddles.

I cannot recommend this hotel enough if you're looking for a warm and authentic environment.

We stayed for 1 night with a child, the service was very friendly and kind.
There is a large area for children to play as well as a swing and a slide.

The rooms where clean and neat as well as the reception and dining area.

The pool is quite large and with plenty of beds and parasols.

The location is very good, about 10 min. from the airport.

Overall a very good experience.

When something calls itself a Country Club, the expectations raise somewhat. However, Country House Country Club is a very eccentric version of the concept. It's more like someone's house in the country, that allows guests.
The service here is wonderful and friendly. Marie Louisa is an absolute gem of a host. A real character who is adorable. We loved her company!

On arrival, it's not obvious where you are supposed to go, but when you do find reception, it feels like you've walked into someone's house in the middle of a move. There is so much personal stuff lying around. Stuff on top of stuff, so to speak. You don't expect to see a rack of bagged clothes next to reception, or was it dry-cleaning? No idea, in truth, but all a bit odd.

We found the owners at the end of what appeared to be a large dining room watching TV. The room itself had rows of tables, but many were unusable because they had more 'stuff' on them.

Again though, I come back to the service. We were checked in by Rosa and, like Marie Louisa, she was very, very friendly and warming. Really lovely.

Our room, although a little dated, was actually really good. The air-conditioning was tremendous. The bathroom shower was excellent too. We were on the second floor and noticed that there is no lift in this property - so it could be an issue for people with disabilities. For us, it was a workout with the luggage, but otherwise ok.

We used the pool, which seems open to local people. Be prepared however for this to cost an extra €5 per person, per day. It was a chuckle watching the owners scoot around on a golf buggy from the hotel to the pool and back.

The Country House Country Club is fairly remote from other places, so we chose to eat here using the outdoor terrace. Swallows nest in the eaves above the tables and, as nice as it is, bird excreta littered the patio.
The food menu appears to be a set course. In effect, whatever the family is eating.
The quality is excellent, but our anti-pasta dish of Lasagna didn't arrive. We did enjoy our meal though. We retired inside to eat the dessert, because the mosquitoes were like a plague and enjoying us as a dessert instead. We were both full of bites.

Back in the room, we noticed several mosquitoes lining up to take chunks out of us through the night, which we had to take care of before we could sleep. However, due to the excellent air-conditioning, we both slept soundly.

Breakfast is typical Italian. A little sparse, served directly to your table, but there is enough and it's ok. Coffee, fruit juice, lots of bread, yogurt, salami and cheese.

Wifi is free and worked well in the room, but was hit and miss on the dining terrace. It didn't work near the pool.

Overall, the price of Country House Country Club is very good considering how close it is to the airport. It's a very quirky place that won't suit everyone. It's a marmite place and you'll either love it or hate it. The fact that I have written such a long review, tells you I certainly won't forget it.

Room Tip: take insect repellent and a sense of humour

The hotel is very near the airport. We came with a flight at night and after landing we called the hotel and they came to get us 10 min later. The room was simple and small but clean and nice, The host were very kind and Rosa, who rund the place, kindly helped us as we had a problem with the rented car the next morning. Breakfast was simple but fine. We wantes to take a walk in the erea but ther were too many mosquitos, remember to have with you something against such.
