Where do we start?

Let’s start with the place itself and the facilities: nice spacious room, clean, comfortable bed and pillows. There are some quirky handmade wooden features in the room such as wall lamps/lights. Fridges were available for guests to use and the wifi was good. There is a large communal area where people can gather, eat, drink and play games and instruments together. The location is in a quiet area with beautiful surroundings. It’s only a 5-10 minute stroll to shops, bars, restaurants and the beach.

The things that shine brightest and really stand out at this place, are Mama Yati and Pappa Mas who are the owners. Their love, generosity and kindness are on offer in abundance. We were collected from the Airport as well as being driven across the Island to our next destination. Pappa Mas took us on a lovely walk to a local night market (where we bought way too much food), they played with our kids and gave us invaluable support and information They even organised a surprise Birthday Party for my son, cake banners the lot. These two humans are just incredible and we will never forget our stay here. As another review mentions, it is experiences such as this that make travelling very special.

Peace and Love Mamma Yati Pappa Mas - Over and out, Craig, Helen, Archie and Harrison XXX

Nice hotel at the end of a small road near Penang beach but very quiet. New rooms clean and big enough but they might be a bit expensive for some people. Very nice atmosphere and the two owners are great. Free transfer from and to the airport and ports.

This is one of the best experiences I had staying in a homestay. I feel like I have a new home and family and Malaysia.

Let’s start with the basics: nice spacious room, super comfy bed (mattress + pillows). I really love the woodwork in the room, especially the desk. Wifi was super fast and reliable (important for digital nomads like us). The location is very quiet. It’s 5 minutes walk from the beach and plenty of local restaurants. The common area is really nice to cook, share meals, or just spend time outside.

But the best thing about LCL is the owners, Papa Mas and Mama Yati. Their kindness and generosity is just incredible and we are forever grateful for everything they did for us. It’s for experiences like this that I love traveling.
