Sunset beach resort is a resort in name only, a few broken deck chars no where to eat average rooms wifi only at check in area. In saying that if you wast a good location private beach friendly staff this place is for you, it is a nice private hotel in the quieter part of Langkawi. Good if you want to relax.

The room was really dirty. There was smelling of tobacco. The service was decent. The room had dirty sheets and towels. The sound insulation was really bad.
We had flown 22h to Langkaw and therefore we where to thired to change the hotel. The next day we will check out immediately and we will never return to this place again. Terrible place!
Nice atmosphere with greenery corridors between the rooms. The room is very spacious. It has a private small beach area where u can relax, however, there was construction next to the hotel when we were visiting, so it was noisy & there was a huge metal stick dug in the beach where it gets covered by the sea & anyone can easily step on it without noticing, & it can turn ugly. Also the internet only works in the reception next to the booking desk next to the not so friendly staff.
This place is nice and friendly and clean but it is nothing like a resort as the name seems to suggest. It is very sparse - no bottles of water and no shampoo in the rooms and it is not particularly family friendly as there is really nowhere to hang out as a family apart from inside the rooms which only have a bed - no table of chairs. There is no breakfast, or no restaurant in the hotel (but plenty of restaurants right outside). It is full of beautiful greens plants but they seem to attract the mosquiitoes unfortunately. To me it seems overpriced for what it is and I would not recommend this hotel to families with young children. They don’t have any family rooms either. The sea was very rough when we were here in June 19 so the kids could not go in the sea at all and we really should have booked a more family friendly place with a pool and a communal place to hang out.
I was highly recommended this bali themes resort for its private beach access. Unfortunately there is a major construction project ongoing right on this private beach! Since it is a nature-themed resort, it is surrounded by greens and has a nice balinese theme to it. Was there with a 2 yo & 5yo and my 70yo mom. Not recommended for this group of family. Nice for singles or couples. We were stuck inside the room when we were not out and unable to leave the room door open even due to the mosquitos outside. The absense of a cable tv was not a problem as we are not much of a screen watching family. So a word of caution: check with the resort first before booking if the construction is completed or not.
Front desk was helpful. Agoda cancelled my trip due to some technical fault so i managed to call the resort and book directly with them and saved myself rm100 this way!

The hotel was very close to all restaurants and duty free shops
I would definitely stay there again
