We really enjoyed our stay at the posada. The room was comfy with large bed, A/C and private bathroom. We paid a bit extra to get a private terrace with a hammock and rocking chair....which has an amazing view on the bay. And took many pictures from our terrace ! The view is spectacular, especially in the morning when sipping coffee :-)

The breakfast was quite generous with tea/coffee, juice, fruit (banana, pineapple and watermelon). Then you have to chose between pancakes with mapple syrup or scrambled eggs with toasts.

We saw many ctenosaurs, lezards, hummingbirds...etc around the property. We also heard a group of howler monkeys.

We ended up staying three nights.

Room Tip: Pick the room with the sea view

The Food was delicious, the people very nice and helpful.
The beach is a short walk and just beautiful- picturesque.
So was our Cabina with sea view.
While having breakfast the hummingbirds fly around. Iguanas on the roof and a racoon in the garden... Littlw paradis.
Hope to come back one day

+ Nice sea view with hammocks but
- The sea view room was quite stuffy / AC very weak
- Bathroom door covered by mold
- Shower was not working properly
- For 70 USD per night, not good value for money.
Hence I cannot recommend this place.

Very friendly owner, his friend is the cook and the meals were excellent, we were most surprised by the home made pasta! They make you feel at home, and are very helpful with information or anything you need. You can take hammocks and body boards to the beach (5min walk). Also you can enjoy a perfect sea and sunset view over the bay, it's beautiful, also all animals like hummingbirds and iguanas.
The rooms are little outdated but it is clean and has the basics you need. No high expectations.
It is definitely worth your money!

Only 5 minutes walking to the beautiful beach of Carrillo. Unlike its "big brother" playa samara, you are likely to be almost all alone on that gorgeous beach. We hope that playa carrillo will stay such a quiet peaceful place as there are several luxury hotels being built!
Our room in la posada was standard with AC, bathroom. Unfortunately, a room with view to the beach was not free when we booked. I would definitely recommend to book a room with sea view if you have the chance! But even if you don´t, you can relax on the terrace enjoying the view to the beach and observing lizards in the trees!
A slight criticism concern the cleanness of the rooms: Bed sheets might have been cleaner. But it was not bothering. Everything seemed a little unorganized. When we arrived nobody was there and we had to wait for the owner Lautaro.
But! Lautaro and his friends are so relaxed and friendly that you can easily ignore such small details. They serve very good food in the evening. Good, standard breakfast.
The best is the great view on playa carrillo from the terrace as mentioned before.
Lautaro was so friendly and helpful. As we struggled to rent a car for our long drive to Drake bay he offered us to drive us until Uvita (a 6 hours journey) for a fair price!
The drive was great chatting with Lautaro!
Thank you once again so so much! I cannot find the right words how much you helped us out with that drive to Uvita!!
We would love to come back drinking a beer with you on your terrace.

Room Tip: View to the beach
