My husband booked a superior room online, as a surprize for me. He was very disappionted that we did not have a four poster bed, as he thought he had booked it.Be careful of wording when booking as it is misleading. However we did have a large and spacious suite which was very cosy and clean, although the TV was very small.
Staff apologised when my husband complained politely and said they were sorry as the 4 poster room was not available during our stay. Apart from the above we found the staff could not do enough for us and went over and above their duties. The on site restuarant was excellent with huge portions and very resonably priced. We were treated so wel, thatl we decided to stay an extra night.

4 day DBB break, no heating in room first two nights, had to request it, no one appeared to know what time it should come on. Booked a superior room, no lamp in shaving mirror, wallpaper hanging from bathroom ceiling, taps dripping and room main light dusty. Food good and bed clean. They did reduce my room rate.

Went there on a quiet Sunday evening. The staff were very pleasant and the food delicious. Definitely the place to eat when visiting the area.

My daughter took me here this week for a belated mothers day meal, What a Treat!!
When we arrived we were greeted and given menu's, escorted to lovely comfortable leather two-seater settees where we sat and viewed the menu. Our order was taken and shortly after we were taken into the dining room, which is beautifully furnished and comfortable. The starters arrived piping hot and and like works of art, beautifully presented as were the main courses, the food was of the highest quality and cooked to perfection, as the portions were quite generous we couldnt manage a sweet, perhaps next time we visit we will have sweets instead of starters as we will definately be returning. This place is excellent!
